this story is quite interesting so far! It’s extremely heavy on political intrigue as the MC slowly enacts the his revenge plan as the world changes.

the MC is the leader of an organization he created to overthrow the imperialists, who are essentially British mages searching for world domination (colonialist much), hailing from mythological roots. The mc’s master was an imperialist, but fell to the mc’s hands. this is a novel quite different from your typical power leveling wish-fulfillment fantasy; the pace is rather slow, and it delves quite deeply into politics heavily based on real life (terrorist groups, conflicts within countries, political motives).

the MC is mature, intelligent and knows what he wants. He’s clearly powerful, but it’s not something he flaunts, so when he does it’s incredibly satisfying. This novel has potential! <<less
