【Early stage: Honest Pushover vs. Late stage: Dog Training | Male Competition | All-Out “Crematorium” (Groveling)】

Wen Rong is a bookworm with a plain appearance and a meek, cowardly personality. After dying, he transmigrates into a cannon fodder destined to be bullied at an aristocratic academy.

According to the script, he is supposed to be gang-beaten, issued a “Red Card” penalty, locked in a restroom, splashed with water…

On the day of the gang beating, he immediately drops to the ground, hugging his head, not daring to move a muscle. Yet, F1 suddenly blushes and flees the scene.

After inciting public outrage, he is dragged to the cafeteria by the entire student body. He thinks he is about to be thrashed, but it turns out F2 just wants him to… wear women’s clothing?

On the day he is locked in the restroom, F1, F2, and F3 squeeze into the tiny stall, cornering him. They stubbornly claim: “Urgent need to pee.”

On the day he is splashed with water, the classroom falls into a bizarre silence. Everyone’s gazes are burning like torches, greedily swallowing their saliva.

Floriman Academy Forum

[I wanted to beat up the Special Recruit today, but I realized he only reaches my chin. Is he even 180cm? Why is he so short? Did he not finish the rice I bought for him?]

[Personally, I think finding a wife under 180cm isn’t bad. Cough, I don’t mean letting the Special Recruit be my wife.]

[Why are F4 all out of the hospital? Someone hurry up and incite them to fight again.]

[Does the poster above want F4 to fight so you can steal the Special Recruit during the chaos?]

[Bullshit, I find the Special Recruit annoying as hell. If he can’t survive in this school, he should just hurry up and find a man to marry. My parents happen to be rushing me to get married anyway.]

The plot deviates frequently. The despised Special Recruit takes off his glasses and transforms into a little “Jade Orchid” that no one in the noble boys’ school is worthy of touching.

System: How do I fix binding a “Natural Seducer” as a cannon fodder by mistake?

Natural Seducer / Elegant Beauty Receiver (Shou). Not a perfect character; has a growth arc and eventually becomes the President.

F4 = Fight 4 (Meaning 4 fighters). The type where love rivals beat each other up upon meeting. The main text has an open ending; the extras have separate endings. (In the main text, there are romantic lines and intimacy/kissing with every attacker).

Contains “Shuraba” (Jealousy/Conflict), Dogblood (Melodrama), sweetness, and angst.

Content Tags: Fantasy Space, Transmigration, Growth, Universally Loved (Jack of All Hearts), Chasing Wife Crematorium.

Characters: Wen Rong, Shi Ye, Leon, Zhou Xie, Lin Jinghang.

One-sentence Summary: I’m not fishing, I’m straight, don’t come over here.

Theme: Even foolish children can have a happy life.

Just read up until the latest translated chapter.

Honestly, the story isn't that bad. So far, the MC is weak with an EQ at 0 (more like negative 100, but I digress) and is living the typical bullied life of a special recruit student in a rich academy. If you know Boys Over Flowers, then it's this but with a weaker MC (i.e. Apologizing for existing, oblivious as a rock, afraid of burdening others, etc.) who is very beautiful.

I thought it would continue like this and considered dropping actually. This was... more>> before he made his resolution to get stronger. I also like that he doesn't forgive those who bully him even after paying them back. My hope is that he continues to develop himself, grow his confidence, and respect himself (while also growing a brain for something other than math).

Will update this review after reading further. <<less

It was such an incredibly awesome read. Seriously, read it now, you won't regret it (and I'm saying that as a very picky reader).

The plot :

... more>> So yes, we're in a cliche elite academy filled with powerful students and rigid hierarchies. But what makes it truly compelling is that the story doesn't stop at school drama. The smart MC doesn't just try to change the academy's structure but gradually starts influencing the political dynamics of the entire world.

Also, the story is absolutely hilarious. I lost count of how many times I laughed out loud. Yet beneath the humor lies a much more serious strategic plot. There's also a parallel world element, which, although less developed, adds an intriguing layer of mystery to the novel.

The characters :

    • the MC
Yes, I said it, the MC is a genius.

At first, he's naive and somewhat fragile. And for about twenty chapters, you might sigh and think, "Oh no, not another weak MC who needs saving from the MLs." But this is not that story.

This is probably the first BL I've read where the MC experiences genuine intellectual and psychological growth. He doesn't just "become stronger" in a superficial way. His thinking evolves. He remains kind, but he also becomes calculating, perceptive, and incredibly strategic. He understands people's emotions deeply and learns how to use that understanding to outmaneuver others.

Watching him gradually outplay everyone at their own game is unbelievably satisfying. The scale of his growth keeps increasing, and at some point, you'll find yourself admiring him as if he truly were a "Male God" (surname from the students).

And yes, he has a tragic past which is cliche too. Yes, he's under enormous pressure

failing the missions given by the system could literally cost him his life

. But his past is never used to gain pity. He almost never cries, I can't even remember if he ever does and he simply endures and moves forward, even while risking himself.
    • the potential ML (s)
I love them. And I sincerely hope this ends as a true harem (though we don't know yet).

Who are they ? :
Spoiler

1 - Shi Ye : My current favorite. You'll probably dislike him for a while. He seems harsh and toxic and kinda is. But his character development is incredible. Over time, he abandons his toxic behaviors for the MC. He becomes patient, open-minded, attentive, and respectful. He listens. He never forces anything.

I rarely saw such convincing transformation in a character and that's why I adore him.

2 - Leon

I like him almost as much. He's less flamboyant, more restrained, but it's also part of his charm. Initially calculating and composed, he ends up falling deeply for the MC. Though he usually avoids conflict, he won't hesitate to step into it if it's for the MC. The MC quickly recognizes his kindness and I cannot wait for more romance.

3 - (not sure) Zhou Xie

The one I'm really hoping for, even though he's currently the most toxic. He starts off as the biggest jerk (although none of the potential MLs ever sexually harass the MC, which I appreciate). Zhou Xie carries immense pressure as the future President. He genuinely believes his harsh decisions are for the greater good. The MC, however, doesn't want to adapt to the world, he wants to change it. That ideological clash makes them enemies for now but the tension between them is absolutely there. I'm just waiting for the moment he starts yearning for Wen Rong.

- other characters (not MLs) :

I liked the journalistic group who becomes friend with the MC. They're funny and refreshingly normal. They offer the MC a normal student life with happy times. Their relationships with him develop gradually and it's cool that they're not just background decoration.

The romance

There's plenty of romance from multiple MLs, but don't worry, the MC is very aware of red and green flags. As he grows, he stops tolerating disrespectful behavior and sets boundaries. This leads to plenty of redemption arcs.

While the MC seems oblivious at first, he also eventually becomes fully aware and handles everything intelligently.

Final thoughts (for now)

I genuinely cannot wait to finish it because it's just that good.

Yes, the basic premise is relatively simple. But the MC's growth, the humor, the continuous action, the MLs' development, and the quality of the writing elevate it into something special.

I cannot recommend it enough. <<less
