She was the useless waste of the Ling family, scorned and despised by all. Yet on a moonless, wind-dark night, she was violated by someone. When she opened her eyes again, she was no longer the same person—she had become Ling Ruoxi, a modern-day special agent.

Who was the man who planted his seed in her? Taking advantage of her blurred consciousness, he took her again and again, only to leave without a trace once she regained her senses.

Returning to the Ling family, she was no longer the little white mouse anyone could bully.

The Crown Prince wants to break off the engagement? Fine! Today, Ling Ruoxi severs all ties with His Highness the Crown Prince!

Expelled from the Ling family? Fine! From this day on, Ling Ruoxi cuts herself off from the Ling clan entirely! From now on, no one will stand in her way!

After annihilating an entire city, she vanished from the continent like the wind, leaving no trace behind. When she appeared again, she was already a peak-level powerhouse—and at her side was a clever, mischievous little cutie.

“Are you my daddy? Do you want to be my daddy? As long as you’re strong enough to defeat my mommy, you can become my daddy! We welcome everyone—whoever comes, we’ll take them all!”

The novel collapses under its own internal contradictions. The heroine transmigrates into a rigid, hierarchical xianxia world, yet continues to behave as if she were still operating under modern, consequence-free social rules. Her personality bears no meaningful relationship to the body or status she has inherited, and the narrative never addresses this disconnect.

Despite being objectively weak in a setting governed by cultivation level, lineage, and face, she is repeatedly brash, insulting, and socially reckless. In a genre where such behavior should invite swift punishment or at least reputational damage, nothing... more>> happens. The power hierarchy exists only as background decoration, not as a force that shapes behavior.

What’s most jarring is the heroine’s complete lack of self-awareness. She never registers that she is vulnerable, outmatched, or behaving irrationally within this world’s norms. This isn’t an intentional use of an unreliable narrator or a slow-burn arc toward growth. It’s a narrative choice that shields her from consequences altogether, granting her an invisible immunity that other characters do not share.

As a result, the story doesn’t feel like a subversion of xianxia conventions but a suspension of them. The world functions normally until the protagonist speaks, at which point its rules quietly disengage. The tension evaporates, the stakes flatten, and the setting loses credibility. What remains is not empowerment or wit, but a protagonist protected by the author rather than justified by the world she inhabits. <<less
