Think it's of a good quality, I like our protagonist being a martial artist style fighter, without having the sort of baked in concepts of a diatan (spelling) or other eastern concepts. Just feels like it removes a trope that sort of stalls pacing or makes pacing super telegraphed and dry. Elixirs might exist as item drops, but we're not crawling in caves looking for aged roots we happen to remember someone else finding, and just so happen to have enough recollection of said, after the apocalypse...

Some of that sort... more>> of, memory of happy accidents stuff happens, but for a regression novel about an OP protagonist, I don't think they do it far enough to out stay the welcome.

I think it's a good go, and I'm enjoying it. Your mileage may vary, but I like our protagonist and don't have any particular problems with it.

The only concern I would have is that if you've read the genre, you might feel bored... but I don't... and I have... so I don't care to critique it for that. It feels good for my tastes. <<less
