Jiang Zhi Qiu has been secretly in love with Zhou Heng for ten years.

Zhou Heng’s friends know, Zhou Heng’s parents know, and Zhou Heng… knows too.

But Zhou Heng cannot accept him.

Jiang Zhi Qiu can see Zhou Heng’s pain and struggle, so in the tenth year of his unrequited love, he decides to set Zhou Heng free, and also… set himself free.

On New Year’s Eve, a time for family reunion. Jiang Zhi Qiu finds an abandoned, unfinished building and calmly goes to his death.

But before dying, he calls Zhou Heng to say goodbye.

The call doesn’t go through, switching to voicemail instead.

Jiang Zhi Qiu remains silent for a long time, ultimately saying nothing. Sitting high up on the building, he swings his legs and leaves the world with a tearful smile.

If given another chance, he wouldn’t want to like Zhou Heng again.

Forget it.

Better not to come back at all.

The latter half of his life has been too bitter, and unrequited love is also too bitter. There’s no need… to go through it again.

Jiang Zhi Qiu once promised to live for Zhou Heng as long as he still liked him, but he still ended his own life. The voicemail he left for Zhou Heng before his death, filled only with the sound of the wind, Zhou Heng has listened to many times.

After being reborn, he finally understands what it means for unrequited love to be too bitter.
