A wholesome mix of romance and entertainment, with a significant focus on the MC's affection for his girlfriend rather than purely going through the steps for his career one by one.

The beginning has a few lucky coincidences that may require a slight suspension of disbelief, but while there haven't been significant setbacks (other than not being as successful as when starting as an idol, if you can call that one), he also doesn't immediately become #1 in everything.

So that leaves some path for growth, as opposed to the various novels... more>> that just feel like they're repeating the same successes over and over.

I won't go as far as saying that the side characters are deep, but they're varied enough to be somewhat memorable and provide colour to the surroundings. I may have binged this far, but I never had this "who was that guy again?"

With a few inserted stories of people affected by the plot and the music, but also the main characters of course, the novel provides some poignant moments.

The contrast between his outward and future experience also results in comedic contrasts on a regular basis, ensuring that it doesn't feel overly dry or sweet.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied and can definitely recommend this, especially as a "healing" type novel that you may want to read after a more serious or toxic one. <<less
