Yu Xinglan transmigrated into a novel about a beautiful, strong, yet tragic male lead who gets his sweet revenge and slaps his enemies’ faces. However, Yu Xinglan only transmigrated as a background character—a nobody.

He had no intention of provoking the plot relevant characters. After all, the male lead would eventually overcome his hardships and get everything he deserved in the end.

But the plot didn’t seem to develop the way he expected.

One day, Yu Xinglan accidentally stumbled upon a scene where the tragic male lead was being bullied. The quiet, unsociable youth kept his eyes downcast as he was shoved into a dark alleyway. Before long, a muffled groan of pain echoed from inside.

Yu Xinglan knitted his brows. In the end, he couldn’t hold himself back, rushed in, and helped out. After knocking out all the thugs, he didn’t want to cause any more trouble. Without even looking back at the person behind him, he simply tossed out the word “Coincidence,” and left without turning his head.

Yet, he never expected the male lead’s life to be even more tragic than he had imagined. People intentionally picked fights with him during PE class, and Yu Xinglan would catch him being bullied right after school.

Encountering this over and over again made Yu Xinglan incredibly furious. After resolving yet another trouble for the male lead, the more Yu Xinglan thought about it, the angrier he got. “Why are you so weak?! They beat you! You should beat them back!”

The male lead didn’t say a word. The thin, frail youth had blood on the corner of his lips, his dark eyes pitch-black. After staring at Yu Xinglan for a few seconds, he lowered his gaze again.

Yu Xinglan: “…” Forget it. At worst, he would just protect and shield him from now on.

With his protection, Ye Chen indeed faced much less trouble and grew at an incredible speed. Yu Xinglan felt that his transmigrated life was actually pretty good—aside from the fact that Ye Chen was a little too clingy.

After the college entrance exams ended, Yu Xinglan went to a bar to celebrate with a few friends. But when he woke up, he found himself inside an ancient, grand mansion. Sleeping right next to him was Ye Chen, who hadn’t even shown up the night before.

Yu Xinglan stared at him for a moment with a dazed expression. Suddenly, he noticed that on Ye Chen’s collarbone, there were two bright red moles.

In an instant, Yu Xinglan’s brain went entirely numb. He remembered that in the original book, the one who had those red moles was clearly the sinister, psychopathic big villain whose name sounded very similar to the male lead’s!

Yu Xinglan wanted to leave immediately, but Ye Chen wrapped an arm around his waist from behind. Their necks nuzzled together like a pair of lovers, yet it made Yu Xinglan too terrified to even move a muscle.

“Why are you leaving the moment you wake up?” Ye Chen’s voice was gentle as he half-opened his eyes and whispered, “Didn’t you say yesterday that you would stay with me forever?”
