Why is this rated so low? I read it and it has great characters. It has a bit of a rough start because some characters like Qiluo starts very unlikeable. But wow.. The character growth is really great. Theres a good bit of dynamic between lin feng and zero and I ship them very much. Its just that... more>> initially the organization and thus lin feng seems completely beyond redeeming, though as we know more about him we learn about his complex circumstances and moral compass beyond that' though still ultimately gray since he wouldnt help any of the girls besides zero. His relationship with zero though even pre romance he would stand by her/him even if the world turns, even when both were guys, since him and dongfang cheng/zero are friends that are extremely intertwinted and support each other. Both are each others primary ideal when asked "who do you seek to protect with your strength"

Lin feng is a bit freakishly op if I were to complain, hes basically young tony stark with wealth, ridiculous intelligence, looks and technology. Plus, especially early on, a lot of characters especially the human fans are extremely unlikeable bastards. They dont show up for long and theres a lot of growth happening. I really like Qiluo a lot now at the end of vol 1 ^ ^ <<less

Right. So, MC seems fairly chill and likable, and honestly, some of the world-building shows potential for interesting development. I literally hate every other character introduced so far. Especially the love interest. There might be a redemption for these characters eventually, but I'm not sticking around to find out.

Has a pretty decent start at least in terms of character development, pacing, and story telling as for world building idk it's pretty normal for a magical girl series to have nonsensical world building like 5 magical girls defend a city and threats that pop out of nowhere from a mysterious organization while creatures can grant people power but don't make more than one contract despite facing an entire group of monsters ? And how exactly did an entire organization form to fight said magical girls if they just appeared?... more>> Not expanded upon and the premise doesn't make sense. Granted the author might be saving this for later on but the initial premise still wouldn't make logical sense. I'm not 100% sure yet but it's possible this may go the Yaoi route so I'm probably going to drop this once they update it to the chapters that confirm who the love interest is as that's not my thing. And yes I do consider it yaoi the MC might be able to transform into a girl but he's a guy. The genres and tags were misleading and it's a bit early to tell what else needs to be fixed if a reader would do so later on if I drop this I'd appreciate it. <<less
