This one was kinda hard to rate due to how short the story was, but overall it's a good story about finding second love. The romance between the two is quite bittersweet, and had really nice build up. Drake and Eno make a very cute couple, and I like how they're quite playful yet relaxed with each other. But once we get to the climax, the story runs into some pretty big problems mostly due to the length of the story.

Because the story is so short and most of the... more>> chapters went to developing the pairing's romance and their backstory, the climax and ending are incredibly rushed. While this is technically a spoiler, it's also the natural progression of things so I won't cover it:

in the first few chapters you find out Drake is going undercover as an Alpha named Martin while he recovers for safety reasons and it's as Martin that he and Eon fall in love. Obviously, eventually the truth comes out and Drake reveals to Eon that he's Martin. Cue the fallout and anger right? Wrong, Eon basically moves on after 3 short paragraphs and one good cry session in chapter 25 and then they live happily ever after. Honestly, it was simply disappointing considering Drake's real identity was a huge factor for most of the story.

If not for the incredibly lackluster ending, it would have been a really nice short story but alas. I think for the most part the story just simply needed about 2-5 more chapters to actually go over the fallout and reconciliation of the two. After all Eon essentially fell in love with a person who didn't exist and lied about his identity the entire time, thats not something you can easily overcome. <<less

I really liked the first 2/3 of this novel. I didn't find them too rushed, the relationship developed at a steady pace.

This novel is unique in the sence that both leads had someone they liked and didn't particularly wanted to be in love again (MC didn't know that it is his crush he is married to so it counts).

The love triangle from the past was shown very respectful for all involved.

MC loved ML in secret, but ML was in love with MC's younger brother, they were going to get married. MC and ML were not very close friends (MC had a fiance and ML didn't particularly like ML). But MC and his younger brother were very close. MC was his brother's favorite person, and he always tried to involve MC in his life. These feelings were mutual, MC loved his brother very much.

So yes, in the cource of this novel both MC and ML learned to let go of their past feelings (ML to his dead fiance and MC to ML)

What I also found interesting is that while ML is a good soldier, his reputation of Male God is 100% PR. His Omega father made him a poster boy. Bold decision to say that your ML is basicly nothing special. One I am in favour with.

Why 3 starts then?

The last 1/3 of the novel.

Believe it or not, but the ending was super cliche and draggy. It honestly felt like MC and ML became less 3D (they were well characterised in the beginning). It lowered my impression of this novel to a solid 'eh, it's ok'. <<less

What a pleasant surprise, the story is short but still well written with solid plot line. It's a healing process for Eno and Drake, and their relationship progressed in such natural way. Additional mystery and conspiracy are a big plus.

Totally recommended. It's unique.

Far longer and heavier than expected.

With 25 chapters this novel seems a bit short and rushed at first but I was surprised at how long the chapters were and how sad the story.

I started to read this, cause I wanted to decompress after a more heavy novel... well, that failed.

... more>> The background of MC and ML and their shared history brought tears to me and although they find love in each other, there stays a little bit of bitter sweet aftertaste.

The story has its fun moments too, too lighten the mood. II wish there were more Extras about the daily life.

To summ it up... it's a story between 3 to 4 stars and while I might not enthusiastically recommend it, I do not regret reading it. I might have a better review if this story didn't come at the wrong time to me. <<less

I enjoyed this novel. It had a quick pace, which kept me engaged throughout the story. The bittersweet ending was well-done, and the angsty moments were truly heartbreaking. For a short novel with only 25 chapters, I thought it was well-written. However, I do think that the characters' emotions could have been explored more deeply. Additionally, the ending felt a bit rushed, as if the author was trying to tie up all the loose ends too quickly. Overall, I would recommend this novel to fans of angsty, bittersweet stories.

we come to know more about ML.

ML just keep saying that he loves Lea (MC's little brother), but never I found him in love.

as some other reviewer said ML was brought up to be model alpha. Maybe that is why he did all those thing he did.

Bcoz if he really loved him, then in long 3 years he or his parents never thought of helping MC.

At start I thought maybe antagonist are so powerful and ML is not that's why they could not help, but then novel showed ML was worshipped by all the citizens. He has best military power, and only thought about helping MC when they are at the final stage of their goal achievement.

Like never in those 3years they thought what must be happening to their BELOVED LEA'S brother!!!

Maybe I should not, but I hate ML.

And so do I hate MC.. WHat the hell, I thought he was just not powerful, timid and all that, but HE JUST DOESNOT HAVE SELF RESPECT!!.

He forgives ML just in a few blinks.

It's been a while since I've written any reviews, so please bare with me.

This is a very short novel with a very good plot. I wish it was longer so they could've added more depth. Regardless I still shed tears, which is rather rare these days.

I love the premise of this novel, especially as the other reviewer mentioned the first 2/3 of the novel is really well written with in-depth details and background info with is rare to see in short stories. However it went super fast paced... more>> with rest of the novel after that with many loopholes and unexplained questions. Furthermore the extras also didn't fill all the plot holes, maybe it was just MTL getting to me.

This novel is about two people who have suffered a lot and you get to know the details chapter by chapter. Especially, our MC shou's story is just heartbreaking 😭 These two people who would've been probably not gotten together became an unlikely couple under various circumstances and found love once more.

It's a pity we didn't see the little bun after being born though, Author-San owes us another Extra!!

I really won't spoil much more. So if you like ABO, short story, smut, Tragedy, Second Chance this is a good read for you. Don't worry it is HE for sure. <<less

The story had a great start, but the progress went down hill because of the rushed ending. I loved angst with mystery, this had all the idea of tragedy and angst but the outcome was not what I expect. The smut was okay, yet the ending was rushed that I felt empty once they have an HE.

But a short story is a short story, Eno deserves better.

Overall it had a very focused plot, there were not side plots that distracted the readers and padded out the chapters. The chapters themselves were unusually long though, so rather than 25 chapters it felt more like 35-40 chapters.

This story is of the omegaverse genre which is quite popular in Danmei novels because of the biological premise of powerful and strong Alphas as Gongs[Top/Seme/Attacker/1] and the cute delicate Omegas as Shou[Bottom/Uke/Receiver/0]. I'd describe this story as a very unique cake. The backstory surrounding why the Shou was in prison changes... more>> this story. It's not like other intersteller ABO stories where the Shou is super talented and they become a power couple. Instead it's more in lines of trying to find love and happiness in a society that tries to prize logic and genetics and only the gifted can go against that. The plot will drag a bit in the middle if you are used to other Intersteller novels with Zergs and Shous that go to competitions and show their genius to the world or go to school and have survival exams, etc. I would say push through and don't quit because the ending was interesting and the middle portion of the plot is needed for developing the relationship between Drake and the Shou.

Suprisingly, there is little to no River Crabs[Censorship of explicit materials in media as defined by the chinese government/Fade to black coitus/deletion or removal of explicit items and words]. This means that if you have only ever read censored omegaverse and are not really clear about the entire process of "full marking" in all it's detail. I would probably try to mentally prepare first, because I am aware that some readers rather just have the love without the "mess" details. The translator does a good job of warning readers of which chapters contain explicit content so please only read if you are a legal adult in the country you reside in. I should also clarify that it's not just fun-time explicit content, some things can be considered needing their own content warning.

Continuing, I really enjoyed how the side characters interacted with the main couple in this story especially the Adjutant. The Adjutant very much a relatable character and is truly the embodiment of having a savage mouth. Their family is also hilarious. I always laughed when the Adjutant and Drake interacted.

A good story to recommend to those who enjoy ABO/Omegaverse with some mystery/intrigue. The plot was interesting and not one I have encountered before especially with how the Shou interacts with the moonlight and the way the white moonlight is in the plot. I would be careful of the tags and read the list of content warning as it feels like the lack of River Crabs makes the impact of those things larger than in other stories. <<less

Short, sweet with right amount of action. Its a healing story between 2 character. It's a rollercoaster of emotions. MC had crush on ML but he is engaged while ML and MC's younger brother were lover.

4.7 Highly recommended if what you are looking for is a short story with a solid plotline ((⁠.⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠)

No one told me that it would be a rollercoaster of emotion!!!

The synopsis basically tell the story, it's a sad yet satisfying ride. I really loved how the author wrote the character, not perfect, they had their flaw and they accepted each other with those flaws, so sour and yet so sweet (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠) ⁠♡

I was quite apprehensive about this danmei. However, it surprised me pleasantly and I enjoyed the writing, and translation as well as the story that the author managed to create in such a short novel.

The background world building is a little confusing and the world itself feels suffocating if I put too much thought into it (as in I could not live there personally) but the Danmei was very entertaining

Surprisingly nice short story. Great pacing. Very well written relationship development.

Love the banter and snarkyness between the main leads from the beginning. The MC makes the reader feel so soft for him even without getting too much into the details of his past trauma / horrible abuse / and everything else that happened. Super strong MC who still does his best to enjoy life how he can!

There are some misunderstandings and angst and a few time skips.

Translation isn't bad. A bit confused at parts (a few uncaught double negatives, wrong... more>> pronouns, location skips) but the translator made an effort overall. <<less

Short and sweet. I enjoyed the dynamic of the couple. The plot was interesting, especially concerning the Inhumans. It does kind of feel like the author makes the scapegoat of it being out of their pay grade for the real ending. I was still satisfied. Many of the characters interactions I found endearing, funny, or was embarrassed. Some motivations gave me a rather bittersweet feeling. Overall, a nice causal read.

It is more like 3.5 but I decided to rate it 4 rather than 3 as I think it would be unfair otherwise. It is a nice story, a little bit illogical but still a good one with appealing characters and good romance development.
