My Wife is the World’s Greatest Divine Martial General

When others transmigrate, they become nobles and generals—how could commoners do that?

But why, when it’s my turn, am I directly farming in the countryside???

This plot seems off, and I’m even a son-in-law who married into someone else’s family…

Not to mention a group of terrible relatives coming to visit, and having to support my young wife and her younger brother.

Fortunately, I have a spatial ability, so no trouble is actually trouble.

Wait, wife, you’re still too young—you’ll need to wait a few more years to push me down!

Really enjoying this one. Its one of those rare non-harem cultivation romances with good plot, clever characters, and solid pacing.

The story is a lighter, more comedic read. Not a lot of angst or drama. The focus is on the MC trying to set his family up so they are not starving peasants anymore. Even cultivation only started playing a main role around chapters 80-90, before that it has just focused on the characters and the MC developing his cheat power. I really like that, though the MC is succeeding in... more>> improving their lives, it has not been anything major- no sudden fortunate encounters, no saving a rich nobleman from death, no money suddenly falling into their hands. It's a series of small and big victories, but doesn't feel boring to read. Everything is earned, like

are very meaningful.

I adore the characters. The story offers a unique family dynamic and well-written, likeable characters that are super duper cute. The description is a little deceptive because I think there is still a ways to go before the FL starts pushing the MC down or anything. I like that the relationships are built on trust, not just sudden 'omg MC is different now I love him so much', though it is really funny how the MC teases the FL since they're married in an ancient cultivation world so the FL sometimes thinks the MC is going to make a move on her when he's not. The three learn to look out for each other and trust each other.

I like the FL because although she does not have explicit feelings for the MC, she stands by him for the sake of family unity when outsiders cause problems. Her character is well-founded as a girl who was forced to mature and make the best of her situation for her sibling, so it's really rewarding seeing the MC make her life easier and seeing her start trusting him. It is also nice that she has her own strengths and is not a total maiden in distress who has just been waiting for MC to transmigrate and make everything easy for her. She's recently also started getting jealous and protective of him, which has been adorable. The FL's little brother also develops a bromance with the MC which is awesome.

The pacing is solid as well. Unlike some chinese novels where 200+ chapters are just on resolving the initial family drama or whatever, the MC puts his foot down and deals with them well. Though the problem has not been completely resolved, it has not been dragged out. The plot has thickened as well now around chap 100 and it looks like the cultivation/martial arts part of the story is finally going to take a bigger role, so I am really looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.

All in all, a super refreshing character-driven story with sweet romance, unique dynamics, and good plot progression. Highly reccomend. <<less

I love the relationship between the MC and the Female Lead in this Novel. The MC earned money at the beginning and later become a medical genius with a system. The Female Lead is strong, skilled and later become a Female General. The MC kind of acts like a Father or Older Brother figure to the Female Lead's younger brother who later become a Scholar-Official.
