Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.Ning Yan transmigrated into a historical political drama as a hardworking “007” employee. After fulfilling his duties, he faked his death and fled into the night only to accidentally lose his memories in the process.
The moment he crawled out of the water, he was surrounded by troops led by a man reeking of mu*derous intent. Just as he braced himself to face his end, the man grit his teeth and wrapped him tightly in a cloak.
Ning Yan was left in a daze.
Between the intimate undergarments left behind and the bed they had clearly shared, Ning Yan saw signs of his lingering presence all over the man’s royal manor. Recalling the man’s cold accusation of him “leaving without a word,” Ning Yan finally understood: He was a s*umbag who had toyed with the man’s heart and abandoned him!
Filled with guilt, Ning Yan offered to take responsibility. The “puppy-dog” man, visibly wronged, froze in surprise. Seeing the man’s shocked expression and pressed lips, Ning Yan grew convinced he had caused deep wounds in the past, and he began to offer endless reassurances and promises. Yan Zhaoxuan finally agreed to accept this “reconciliation arc.”
Ning Yan felt comforted. Even though he had been a s*umbag before, he was now making it up to his victim.
But no one told him that this “victim” was a hopeless romantic obsessed with him.
If the man wanted a pet name for him and Ning Yan questioned it, the man would immediately back down, saying, “If Ah-Yan doesn’t like it, then I won’t use it.” If Ning Yan mentioned he disliked the capital, the man would silently and dejectedly pack their things to plan a future elsewhere. Though Ning Yan was the one supposed to be “recovering” the relationship, the other party acted far more insecure and anxious when faced with his affections.
Taking his responsibility to heart, Ning Yan eventually rekindled their love, and they reached a happy ending.
It was only that very day, when his full memories returned, that he realized there was a perfectly logical explanation for everything: As it turns out, before he lost his memories, they were bitter rivals. The “abandonment” was a lie, but the romantic obsession was entirely real. 🙂
