The main hook of the story is that the body the MC takes over belongs to the Heavenly Slaying Star. His own family wants him dead because those born under this star are destined to grow mad and bloodthirsty. When the boy is killed, our MC transmigrates into his body and escapes — all of this happens in chapter one. From there, the story follows the MC trying to escape his fate as the Heavenly Slaying Star while completing side quests.

Although the premise might sound unique, the execution feels fairly... more>> generic. The MC is overpowered in knowledge, always solving problems conveniently and helping everyone easily, which earns him better connections and constant minor misunderstandings. Any hardship is resolved without much tension. It’s clear this novel isn’t meant to be taken too seriously, but it doesn’t really stand out from others in the genre. The humor, while attempted often, mostly falls flat — some jokes land, but most are forced, repetitive, and overused.

As for the characters, I personally disliked the MC. He comes off as a dense, rude, and money-hungry brat, much like many typical Korean protagonists. The side characters, while generic, were more enjoyable to me. I especially liked the MC’s master — not particularly fleshed out, but at least interesting. That said, many relationships are built through misunderstandings or conveniently placed problems for the MC to solve. Female characters especially seem to exist just to eventually bond with or like him.

One major problem is the translation quality. The POV changes are abrupt, with no markers, making it difficult to follow whose perspective you’re reading. Additionally, many association names and terms are left untranslated in Korean, which might be confusing for some readers.

Overall, if you’re looking for a lighthearted novel full of misunderstandings, with a money-hungry, dense MC who can solve any problem, this could be enjoyable. With better translation, it might be an 8/10, but as it stands, it’s closer to a 6/10. <<less

The chapter was incredibly engaging and kept me hooked from the very first line. The pacing was smooth, with just the right balance of action and description. I especially enjoyed how the characters’ personalities shone through in their dialogue—it made them feel alive and relatable.

The author did a great job building suspense without overwhelming the reader, and the little twists scattered throughout the chapter made it even more exciting. The writing style is easy to follow yet vivid enough to paint clear pictures in my mind.

Overall, this chapter was fun,... more>> entertaining, and left me eager to know what happens next. It’s the kind of storytelling that makes you want to keep turning the pages without stopping. <<less
