This is actually a really sweet romance/slice of life kind of story. I'm so glad I picked it up, even though the rating is low. It has just the right balance of angst and sweetness. I think many readers find it uncomfortable because, at the beginning, it seems like the relationship between the first couple is non-consensual. But Fang Tang eventually finds the courage to sort out her life, and after many years, she finally realizes her true feelings, I love her growth in this novel.

There are 133 chapters, but the writing is quite short. I was hoping it would be longer so more plot could be written. Ah I'm going to miss this story!

So they continue this toxic and coercive physical relationship and MC does not tell her bf anything. She also does not break up with him. She strings him along even though he says he wants to marry her. ML is awre of this but still persists, saying that he likes her and that not else matters. Jerk face. Anyway, I dropped the novel at ch 13. MC is a doormat, ML is a prick and the smut is below average. <<less
