Liang Yu (ML) forcefully stripped, and bj Xu Jingzhe (MC), without asking for any form of consent or permission. I mean– some people might say, isn't that good? Because his erectile dysfunction would be solved. I would probably throw a book right in your face.

What he did feels exactly the same as s*xual ab*se to me. If you've read it you'll see Jing Zhe is struggling and kicking him to stop but he just continued, for what? Just to see Jing Zhe's (MC) private part?

And it's f*ck*ing uncomfortable reading those parts.

Yeah, they're an actor and they're in a relationship, 'in the eyes of the public', but that doesn't mean what he did to Jing Zhe (MC) is right. Even if they're ambiguous with each other and even tend to have their relationship become real, that still doesn't mean he can do it without permission or any consent.

It wasn't just revealed/said in the novel but his agent and sister/assistant knew a little about it.

Around the midpoint of the novel, ML finds out MC's secret of having erectile dysfunction and decides the way to fix MC is to forcibly strip him and give him a handjob, despite MC pleading at him to stop. The author wrote it in a way that made that kind of behavior seem acceptable and normal, as there was no subsequent discussion about it at all. Really was a disappointing scene for me, as there's just so many better ways of having approached the subject without making it SA.

MC has an ED. It's mainly caused by stress and his inability to relax (workaholic), rather than trauma I would say. It seems like he's been in the industry for so long and has had to keep up his guard/persona that eventually, he didn't know how to stop. And as he become an independent actor, it seems to have gotten worse (at least that's how I see it) because the company is no longer responsible for all these workers, he is. His parents seem really irresponsible, we only hear about them once and it's because they wanted ML's picture. They don't really seem to ask MC about his wellbeing, they live and work in a foreign land (where btw, they make money out of his name/popularity) and they don't visit, to the point MC's used to being alone on holidays. So knowing all this information, I can understand why he is hesitant to get in a relationship or insecure about opening up to ML.

Basically, ML was ab*sed his whole childhood. His father was physically abusive and both his mother and sister suffered from DV where they were also r*ped and sexually assaulted. They lived in a small village where everyone knew what was happening and no one tried to help. He first started working in the entertainment industry because he wanted to save enough to help his mother and sisters escape. Him and his female family members managed to escape the village but his mother was deaf, his older sister had to get an abortion (because it was the child of her rapist) and his little sister had autism. He was the sole breadwinner of his whole family and they depended on him a lot (especially considering the high medical costs). He's controlling because he's always had to be in charge and it was one of the ways he coped with the ab*se. Being in control helps him deal with the feeling of powerlessness he felt during his ab*se. Because of this, when it comes to romance, he tends to be a bit extreme. The ML does know and acknowledge that this is an issue he has.

ML is very controlling but he also knows that it is an issue he has and while he can't "fix" it, he backs off when the MC tells him to. MC is very insecure about his inability to relax and his ED so he ends up giving mixed signals or vague answers to the ML. They'll have small moments of miscommunication but it gets resolved fairly quickly and ML always backs off when he's realised he interpreted MC's signals wrongly.

From what I understand in the MTL, MC feels more comfortable when someone manage him (I'm actually quite the same so I know how it feels) and ML is a person who likes to control things around him. I think it's because of his childhood. He grew up independent and surrounded by woman. He was like an anchor in the family and used to manage everyone, so it became a habit.

I just don't like the dubcon thing a little. I mean the MC quite need the stimulation and I know it won't happen unless the ML forced it bcs of MC's personality, but I still prefer consent more than anything.

For me, there is no other way to breach the sensitive subject of MC ed condition. ML might be a little bit controlling but the MC is also having a little bit problem which is when someone take control, he felt relieved. And that is what I understand from the mtl.

Both of them actually a good match since MC is the only one who can stand and soothe down ML quite brusque nature and ML get everything he wanted in a partner from MC.
