It has been about 30 years since dungeons suddenly appeared in the modern world, and Seekers, people who are adapted to dungeons, began to appear among the population.

One morning, Musou Daichi, a high school graduate and freelance worker, realizes that he has become a Seeker. Seekers are people with unique abilities such as level, status, and skills.

Daichi bikes to a nearby dungeon and explores his first dungeon through trial and error. This is the story of a young man who gradually gains power while raising his level, acquiring skills, and cashing in the magical stones obtained by defeating monsters.

The only decent thing about this story is the translations. Even if you don't value your time, I suggest you look for something else to read. It's just another generic dungeon story that offers nothing new. There are no unique or interesting twists, nothing stands out about the characters. The writing isn't particularly interesting either.

So the story is about dungeon crawling, but started out weird by practically skipping all the leveling in dungeons and hitting the weird level limit the author put on characters in the world. In like 50 chapters or something and covering weeks of time.

Then he has spent the next 200 not even in a dungeon and it has covered like 13 days.

I mean, I am enjoying the story (4 stars), but I just do not get the point of how this was laid out. Do a dungeon crawl, or do... more>> the story that has been going on for 200 chapters....

Started generic, hit a interesting twist fairly early then went on a 250 chapter ongoing tangent that had little to do with the original premise that is complete a series of 'and then.... and then.... and then.....' without any sense of continuity beyond the terrible level system.

The romance started out fairly mundane, and progressed okay, but turned into the trope filled nonsense so very common in LNs.

The MC has rare moments of genuine personality, and the loli girl is a pure nuisance.

Honestly, I can’t get into it. The translation is so confusing that it’s hard to even tolerate it imo

at first all was fine, the ch’s were pretty short but at least perspective and conversations flowed normally, but..

within 5 ch’s the characters started changing how the called each other with every ch. From first names, to the last, to name meanings, and to the banter. It’s confusing. Then when they added a new character the perspective is harder to understand because the usual guides that you can tell someone’s character by... more>> how they act is flipped upside down because the common phrases and things are not right. It’s like at first someone translated and edited, then they threw away the editor and straight mtl’d it.

at first you can tell there is flirting and typical Japanese character like virg*n behavior but now someone’s blushing but the translation is so confusing that you can’t understand how it’s flirtatious.

makos a personal pet peeve is when the story keeps calling he a she or vice Versa.

the descriptions of the characters are lacking so it’s hard to get a read on them as well, like the ‘kohai’ is described as androgynous but short and stocky?

the first heroine wasn’t described much more than black hair either.

even by ch 30 it’s hard to understand power scaling since we only have 3 characters where you can hear the stats, the skills are easier to interpret.

the story is not terrible as far as the little bit we know about the structure of the world as being seekers are rare, extremely so when after 30 years there seems to be like a thousand of them but it’s confusing as to if only Japan is alone in this or that’s world wide. And dungeons are shown to have appeared but it’s very confusing as to if there are many or just the one. So far we’ve only heard of 5 seekers in total, one being retired, another being a s*umbag and the characters in the story.

imo. Find something better. I sure am. <<less
