Jiang Ye was reborn as a Dragon Li cat (a Chinese tabby).

With no master, he comes and goes as he pleases. His territory is too vast to see the edge of, and he wakes up every day from a 3.6-meter stone slab “king-sized bed.” He is the kind of tattooed big-boss-style Dragon Li cat who leads a whole gang of lackeys.

Jiang Ye keeps himself sleek, glossy, and packed with lean muscle. When he struts down the streets, he looks exceptionally majestic and domineering.

As a cat with an actual plan and a high IQ, Jiang Ye reasonably schedules his breakfast, lunch, and dinner at different humans’ windowsills. Occasionally, when he craves a treat, he takes on mercenary work, helping humans find their lost pet cats to earn some extra snacks.

Despite his vast territory, Jiang Ye has a particular fondness for strolling and patrolling around the city zoo. Not for any other reason, but because his primary job is right there. He is a famous internet-celebrity cat.

Until one day, the zoo director tries to bribe Jiang Ye into taking on a second job. The panda-exclusive milk pudding and the fresh meat salad from the tiger enclosure are both delicacies Jiang Ye had tasted once and could never forget.

However… Jiang Ye looks at the fierce-eyed Siberian Tiger inside the cage, and his confidently upright tail slowly begins to droop. It is not like the big boss is scared. Jokes aside, this tattooed boss isn’t even afraid of a honey badger! But still… Jiang Ye looks at his own reflection in the glass window.

Comforting a Siberian Tiger? Him?

Jiang Ye tries to decline. But the zoo simply offers way too much.

With his heart pounding in temptation, Jiang Ye braces himself. He raises his head, puffs out his chest, lifts his paws, and walks straight into the tiger enclosure.

Bound by a specialized chain and a bite muzzle, the Siberian Tiger glares at the Dragon Li cat before him. The wounds on his body are still dripping with blood.

Then, the tiger watches as this adolescent kitten—who is radiating the intense scent of psychic power from head to toe—approaches him tentatively, opens his mouth, and blurts out:

“Be good, okay? Big brother has your back!”
