By the time I came to my senses, I had become the infamously minor villain in the game I created.

My reputation, relationships, and abilities—everything was rock bottom.

Still, I have to find a way to survive in one piece.

The protagonist gets reincarnated as a villain extra in an academy game he made, just wanting to graduate peacefully. The core tension comes from his obsession with keeping the original plot on track while everything around him changes. Character work is excellent—everyone feels real and relationships develop naturally. The writing is meticulous and thoughtful.

The main issue is pacing. It's slow. Really slow. If constant action or fast plot progression is needed, this will frustrate. The MC's obsession with the original plot takes forever to resolve, which some find compelling and... more>> others find annoying.

There's romance but it's not forced. The girls have their own arcs and aren't just there for the MC.

This works for character-focused stories and slow burns. Skip it if easily bored or needing fast-paced action. Recommended for academy stories and possession narratives where character depth matters more than plot speed. Still reading because the character moments actually land. <<less

Instead of trying to become overpowered or rewrite the whole plot, the MC just wants to survive quietly as an extra villain. He's not chasing glory. He's not trying to steal the spotlight. He just wants peace. And somehow, that makes everything more interesting because fate keeps dragging him back into the story anyway. The academy trope isn't new so its so so for me, the focus leans more on interactions and slow development rather than nonstop action. That said, the pacing can feel slow. There are parts where it... more>> feels like not much is happening, especially if you're waiting for big dramatic twists. It's more of a steady, calm read rather than an intense one. So if you're expecting constant fights or shocking betrayals every chapter, this might not fully hit <<less

Early on, this novel feels like typical academy fare with an isekai twist. The MC lands in a game world as an extra villain and tries to keep his head down. The premise is solid but nothing groundbreaking yet. The first forty chapters spend a lot of time on world-building and introducing characters, which is necessary but doesn't grab immediately.

What's interesting is how the MC's knowledge of the game creates awkward situations. He knows what's coming but can't control anything, which leads to some funny moments where his plans fail.... more>> The academy setting is standard—classes, hierarchies, the usual stuff.

The pacing at this point feels deliberate but also drags. Not much major plot development happens. Mostly setup and character introductions. If impatient for actual story progression, the early chapters might feel boring.

The characters are decent but not memorable yet. They're still somewhat generic academy archetypes at this stage. Their personalities haven't really shined through or become distinct.

Needs more time to decide. The foundation is there but nothing stands out yet. Could go either way—either it gets better and pays off the slow setup, or it stays mediocre. Too early to recommend strongly, but not bad enough to drop immediately. <<less
