Please use proper spacing and paragraphs. After the “Day of Apocalypse,” when unknown monsters began to pour out from the rifts now named “gates,” Seonwoo, who had lost all of his family, became a hunter by borrowing power from beings who called themselves “constellations”—so-called gods. He hunted monsters in pursuit of revenge.
However, the “constellations” he thought had lent their strength to help humanity were, in fact, the very culprits who had turned Earth into their playground and brought about its ruin. Upon learning the truth, Seonwoo took up his weapon once more to slay the gods. After achieving his revenge, he died—only to open his eyes again as one of the very “gods” he had so loathed.
Though exhausted with life, the only way for a god to die was to have their power taken by another and be extinguished. He didn’t want to die at the hands of those he despised, nor did he wish to live as the thing he hated. While wandering without purpose, he came across another planet—a world remarkably similar to Earth.
And in that “Earth,” Seonwoo happened upon the life of a boy named Jaehyuk. That boy became his new purpose.
“…Yes. Giving you the strength to survive, that will be my final mission.”
If he passed all his power to Jaehyuk and vanished, he could meet a meaningful end, just as he had once died fighting gods and monsters to the very end as a human.
Revenge is a name that suits those at the very bottom. And Jaehyuk, who started from the lowest depths and sought to climb to the very top, had every right to claim it.
“Make sure you take your revenge to the fullest, so that you’ll have no regrets about death. Just like I did.”
In a life where he could neither live nor die, Seonwoo felt like he had finally found the answer.
But the plan for a meaningful death that Seonwoo had so carefully built—
“Please don’t abandon me.”
“Why are you saying that all of a sudden? I won’t.”
“Then you must keep that promise. Remember this. I swear on everything— The moment you abandon me, I’ll die in the most excruciating way possible.”
—was beginning to twist, little by little, without even his realizing it.
“No death will hurt as much as you leaving me.”
