The story follows Chen Mi, a pampered, sharp-witted, and stunning Omega who wakes up from a seven-year coma following a car accident, only to find himself suddenly thirty years old and confined to a secluded island resort. Bored and eager to reclaim his youth, he tries to check on his college ex-boyfriend, the dominant and powerful Alpha Lou Xingchuan, only to find he has been blocked on social media.

When questioned by his doctor about their past breakup, Chen Mi shamelessly claims the split was purely because Lou Xingchuan’s bedroom skills were terrible and hurt like hell, though he secretly plans to chase the Alpha again. His supreme confidence is delivered a sharp blow, however, when he learns that Lou Xingchuan is allegedly getting married to someone else.

Meanwhile, back in the city, an exhausted, workaholic Lou Xingchuan is secretly using everything at his disposal to track Chen Mi’s digital footprint across a tropical archipelago, staring longingly at a pinned chat from a little white rabbit avatar that reads, “I’m back.”

Fast forward through their eventual reunion, the unraveling of corporate family schemes, and the clearing of old misunderstandings, Chen Mi and Lou Xingchuan happily fall back into each other’s arms. After Chen Mi expresses that he isn’t quite ready to rush into marriage, Lou Xingchuan becomes intensely busy with a corporate turnaround, while their meddling families suddenly stop pressuring them.

The true motive behind the sudden peace is revealed when Chen Mi is dragged out to a remote mountain resort by his close friends under the guise of a casual dinner and a sunset hike. After a massive feast, he is ushered into a heavily blacked-out van and falls asleep, only to wake up completely alone at the destination.

Stepping outside, Chen Mi finds a grand, classic romance setup orchestrated by his friends and his Alpha: a red carpet winding up the mountain path under a canopy of starlight-like fairy lights, covered in a sea of pink rose petals. At the end of the path stands Lou Xingchuan in a white suit, holding a bouquet.

Though Chen Mi jokingly calls the setup “tacky,” his heart races with genuine excitement. Lou Xingchuan nervously admits that he has even set up cameras because their eager families demanded to watch the moment broadcasted. Taking a playful hint from a teasing Chen Mi, Lou Xingchuan drops to one knee and finally asks him to marry him.

With an immediate, breathless “Of course,” Chen Mi snatches the bouquet and seals the promise with a kiss on his new fiancé’s forehead, bringing their seven-year separation to a beautifully orchestrated, definitive conclusion.
