I was very confused because in the beginning when ML is introduced, he's introduced as one of two youth who was injured in a car accident. MC recognized him as someone she went to the same prestigious school with. The next paragraph mentioned that they were grade-schoolers then. However, we come to find out that MC was only 17 at the start of the novel while ML is already 26. That's roughly an 8-9 year gap. I don't know the Chinese education system but from my research, when MC was in primary school, ML should already be in secondary school. Perhaps this prestigious school combine the two?

I found the relationship between MC and ML sort of cringe. It make sense though seeing that MC was only a third year high school student. She had been abandoned and disowned by her family and rescued by ML. And although he's supposed to be this genius who's reckless, stubborn, and does things his own way, he's kind towards MC rendering her falling head first in love with him. She has a major crush on ML and luckily he reciprocate. ML constantly refers to her as "little thing" and say things like "you're naughty". Feels a bit fetish-ish. MC is so dependent on him and so clingy with him. She constantly want to be with him, see him, etc.

It's not clear how ML fell in love with her. Was it when the doctor asked MC to took off ML's pants? It seems that since then, he declared that she can never escape him. Honestly, all this possessive talks from ML is pointless as MC is willing to throw herself at him.

Every single character in the novel knows about the feud between the Mu and Sheng families but as of Ch 100, I haven't seen any enmity between them. The Mu's stock is falling and we don't see the Sheng family coming out and taking advantage of it like they should if they were really enemies. The author is trying to give them a Romeo and Juliet scenario but so far, all the opportunities have been wasted.
