Wen Ye first met Gu Sheng two years after she had been sold to human traffickers. They were worlds apart: Gu Sheng was a “little princess” from a wealthy family, while Wen Ye was just a scrappy kid struggling to survive. At the time, Wen Ye was seven; Gu Sheng was ten.

Wen Ye was instantly drawn to Gu Sheng’s aura—she was as pure and calm as moonlight. Wen Ye became her protector, shielding her from bullies and sharing stolen scraps so Gu Sheng wouldn’t get beaten for coming up empty-handed. In those dark days, they were each other’s only light.

Two years later, Gu Sheng’s family finally tracked her down. Unfortunately, their influence didn’t reach far enough to get Wen Ye out, too. All they could do was call the police for her.

Wen Ye grew up in the foster system and eventually trained to become a repair technician. She moved to Gu Sheng’s city, secretly dreaming that one day, their paths might cross.

Then came a routine service call. Wen Ye found herself in a luxury villa, suddenly wrapped in a desperate hug by the beautiful woman who lived there. Through tears, the woman sobbed, “Wen Ye… it’s me. It’s Gu Sheng.”

Gu Sheng had spent fifteen years looking for the girl who saved her. She never expected her to just show up at her door one afternoon.

Now, everyone knows “CEO Gu” as a cold-blooded, heartless boss. But Wen Ye doesn’t buy it. People say she’s made of iron, but to Wen Ye, Gu Sheng is just a sensitive soul who gets misty-eyed over the smallest things. People say she’s a workaholic, but Wen Ye knows she’s actually a homebody who acts spoiled just to get Wen Ye to stay home and cuddle.

As for the rumors that the CEO is “frigid”? Well, Wen Ye definitely knows better—but she isn’t about to tell the rest of the world why.

Status: Completed
Its a short novel, its reunion + wholesome + minor drama. Its a tight script of how two traumatized children meet once more and find love and recovery.

Gu, being the silently possessive type causing some emotional conflict between the two. Wen is the more emotionally recovered from the situation that was their childhood.

The ending is quite wholesome, as its one of the few CN GL novels that actutally make use of a therapist lol.

Overall its pretty good not the best but good enough, the drama mostly lasts for like 10... more>> chapters and its near the end. <<less
