Han Seon-Joo’s life is too difficult. He works day and night but is still unable to pay off the debts he has.

His only hope is to pay off all his debts one day and get out of those shackles.

“You’ve never heard of such an offer? I’ll give you the money. Let’s make a deal.”

“What’s the deal?”

“I give you money, and you give me your body.”

That alpha was a partner that Beta Han Seon-joo could not accept.

However, he had to throw away the last bits of his pride for the money.

“That proposal from before… is it still valid?”

That man was a rope that fell from the sky.

There was no way to know whether he was good or bad, but one thing was certain if I got him, money would come out.

So the contract started.

I finished novel some months ago, but only managed to finish extras recently and I quite enjoyed them.

While Seon-joo leads miserable life, Kwon Hee-seong is like a breath of fresh air for him. Maybe Seon-joo is being weak and crippled by his family situation, but he shows some willpower in certain situations, even though he is blinded by love and hurt. It's obvious one cannot blame Seon-joo for decisions he make, as his life was hard enough before entering contract. Kwon Hee-seong is hard to understand at times, sure he is obsessed with his toy, but his inability to judge his own feelings is more like a plot hole, which only properly get patched in the end of the extras (but obviously there are parts explaining Kwon Hee-seong's personality and background through out hte novel) .

Spoiler

Seon-joo is beta, who has never had relationship with men. He has no interest, but due to his mother and older brother debts, he forced to accept Kwon Hee-seong contract as s*x for money. As things progress towards the end of their contract, Kwon Hee-seong's innocent and caring but rough attitude is more like a child playing with a toy till he gets bored. At the end he is relucant to return/accept Seon-joo confession, which really breaks Seon-joo's heart.

As result Seon-joo decides to leave him for good at the end of their contract (obviously there is another factor which played it's role in his decision to leave but I won't spoil it).

[collapse]

It's definetly not the perfect 5/5 novel, but it's fun to read, both MC and ML enjoable despite their shortcomings at times. If you are into ABO novels, it's definetly worth to check out.

There is no non-con interactions between ML and MC.

Not very good. Just so so. Maybe you can read for pass time.

Uke is straight beta who is exploited by his own mother using tears like "please send me money, it's for your brother". This is the trope. Sadly. Uke never broke away from this even until the end. His mother loves his older brother so much even tho his older brother is useless piece of shit. His mother lives in poverty while caring his blind younger brother. Thing is, uke is straight gigolo. He indeed sells his body but... more>> only to women. It's quite sad because there's one sentence where uke said in his heart "Did you ever care what your 2nd son did or has to do to earn money for you, just so you can give it to your useless eldest son? Do you ever care for me?"

Ok that's it for the trope. It's usual. "I became gay because I need money". Seme is rich, it's never revealed what he actually did, whether he is a gangster or not but he affiliated with many companies. Seme inquired uke to be his personal prostitute. He chose beta because he doesn't wanna have kid. Uke agreed. There's problems. There's runaway. Seme money power solve everything.

Now spoiler

Spoiler

Uke fall in love with seme along the way. But seme rejected him. Uke then manifested as scentless omega which made seme didn't know he actually omega. Near the end of the contract, uke who heart broken decided to stop working as prostitute and he realized he also pregnant. Heartless seme asked uke if he wanted to renew their contract. Uke initially reject but seme is very persistent. He is like, why are you rejecting me when you said you love me. Like. Duuudeee???

Ok, uke ran away. Of course seme was obsessively looking for him. When he learned uke is pregnant, seme was actually angry and tried to kill the pregnancy but uke threatened him. Anyway yadayada, they get back together. Somehow seme with little to no groveling or redemption arc can bring back uke back to his house.

Uke visited his mom but she wasn't there, his older brother was there and he pushed uke down the stairs. It's kinda s*upid tho. Seme actually told him, it's dangerous and he will accompany uke but uke insisted like "nah you wait in the car, I can handle it myself" Yeah my butt. Why author always made s*upid character like this? You're pregnant for f*ck sake, why you endanger yourself.

Anyway, the older brother, I think tried to burn the blind brother alive in the apartment, I think because insurance (I forgot. I read this a long time ago). Mom is back and found the younger brother and cursed the eldest brother. But she didn't inquire about MC. ML brought MC to hospital etc. It took sooo long for him to wake up.

The eldest brother ending

Spoiler

Seme made him disappear

[collapse]

Mom still saying stuff like, where is his eldest brother, she wants to beat him up for trying to harm the youngest.

I forgot, I think the ending is, uke gives mom & youngest brother a home/place to stay, better than now.

[collapse]

I still think uke didn't do much except wallowing in his unrequited love, which is a problem he created himself. He is prostitute, why would he loves his client??? And he is such a doormat to his family it's friggin annoying

If you curious, the cover picture is SEME not uke. <<less

Absolutely must read!

Younger rich Alpha X debt struggling Beta.

The story is cliche contract relationship. However it doesn't take away any charm of the novel.

... more>> Alpha is so obsessed with his new acquaintance to the point of start contractual relationship with him. He teases and pushes Seon-joo to his limit, but still finds a way to take care of his problems one way or another.

Smut scenes are so damn hot. After rather questionable start of their contract, as their relationship progress there is spark and chemistry between those too.

Seon-joo's family situation what makes him struggle in his life, from mother that only focuses on her eldest and youngest son, to his older brother who is leeching money from the family. Seon-joo's only younger brother doesn't burden him with any financial issues, but rather it's emotional burden.

Good and enjoyable read, author didn't shy away from writing good amount of smut scenes. <<less

It's a cliché, that's it. Omegaverse, with some clichés.

I like Kwon, I feel sincerity in him. He's like "I'm offering something, if you want it here it is, if not then let's move on". Anyway, if at some point he said something s*upid without realizing it was s*upid, I pass it on to him, because everyone makes mistakes. And I'm biased towards Kwon.

Although I like it, well~~ I've read others with the same style, the ending is rushed, the MC... ah, I don't even have words. But he's not bad.... more>> Anyway, it was worth it because of Kwon.

Thanks for the translation. Anyway, the author also did a good job, because of the author, I met Kwon.

He entered the list of favorite characters (◜‿◝) ♡ <<less

It was good man, the smut was really good, their relationship building was good. You can see how slowly they feel in love, there is no cliche drama here. You can not fault MC here. The Pov here is Han seon joo, He is male escort, there is no security in relationship, and he feel in love but he knew that falling in love with a client is wrong so he left without fuss so don't blame him. The story revolves around him, so you will see his perspective. he... more>> never received care from his family so he knew that these normal ml's careless caring was all it took to give out his heart. It was painful, how much he loved him. He wanted one thing in life, the man he loved wouldn't remember him as someone who tried to take advantage of him. He never tried to sell his misery. And he could not leave the brother he raised as a child, right? And his mother and brother blackmailed him with his younger brother. There was no blood dog drama. ML was kinda s*umbag type at first which is actually reasonable, he would casually touch woman and so on but later he gets better. MC was good, even though he was too much of pushover, he was likable, I mean how can you not love him..... And his mum....I wonder why she did this to him. They talked so much about mc's inner thoughts, their thoughts but author didn't explain Ml.. Or other's perfective.. <<less
