After dying a sudden and violent death, Ye Ling, a naturally sweet and easily frightened lovebird spirit, is tricked by a System into entering the Quick Transmigration cycle. His assigned mission is to jump into various small worlds and play the role of a loathed, creepy, and obsessive stalker cannon fodder. To succeed, he must complete specific creepy objectives (like stalking, sending harassment photos, or setting traps) and then get caught dead to rights, humiliated, and exposed so he can exit the world.

The twist? Ye Ling is entirely too innocent and pure for these roles, treating every creepy mission like a grueling execution. Despite his best efforts to ruin his own reputation and escape according to the script, the male leads (the Shou) possess hidden, overbearing, and twisted tendencies. Instead of being disgusted, they notice his clumsy stalking, see right through his act, and become completely obsessed with him. Every time Ye Ling thinks he has successfully failed the mission and is ready to run away, the “victim” turns the tables, blocks his path, and traps the innocent bird in a deeply possessive embrace.
