Ning Ranyang has transmigrated into a dog-blood web novel as a sickly, disposable cannon-fodder character. To make matters worse, he’s bound to a system whose sole objective is to “Turn the Straight Man Gay.”

His “cheat code” is a specialized teleportation skill that drops him onto the Tyrant’s bed at any given moment and “bed” is used very loosely here. Thanks to this ability, Ning Ranyang comes and goes as he pleases. On the Road back to the Capital Yin Chiyu had just closed his eyes for a moment when SNAP! the carriage roof splintered. Ning Ranyang fell right into his lap, muttering quickly: “Your Majesty, I’m certainly not taking advantage of you. I was merely… checking your vitals.” While Yin Chiyu cursed how practiced he had become at catching the man, he heard the inner commentary. Inner Voice: Ooh, the little Emperor’s got a nice body. Sluuuuurp.

The Imperial Hot Springs One evening, Yin Chiyu was soaking in the springs, half-considering drowning himself to escape his boredom, when Ning Ranyang appeared out of thin air. With a pale, pretty face and a fawning smile, he latched his hands firmly onto the Tyrant’s abs. Ning Ranyang: “Your Majesty, I’m here to stand guard!” Inner Voice: It’s perfectly normal for “bros” to touch each other’s abs, right?

Yin Chiyu often wished for death, but he eventually realized there was someone else who deserved it more specifically, the chatty little junior official who insulted him eight hundred times a day in his head.

Yet, being able to hear Ning Ranyang’s thoughts wasn’t all bad.

Late one night, behind the red candles and gauze curtains of the bedchamber, Ning Ranyang tearfully pleaded: “Your Majesty, I beg of you… stop.” Inner Voice: [Ugh, this feels so good. but it’s too much. but it really, really feels amazing.

Yin Chiyu smirked, gripping the man’s waist and pulling him closer. “Why say one thing and feel another?” he whispered. “Doesn’t your heart actually love this?”
