Depending on how the story unfolds, I may change my rating, but from what I’ve read so far, it feels like a genuinely refreshing novel, especially compared to several slops I’ve come across recently.

I like that the main character isn’t portrayed as clueless, but she’s not overpowered either. The novel does a solid job of showing how people deal with emotional struggles in a realistic way.
