This is a really well written story about two straight guys that fell in love with each other. It honestly feels really realistic in their misunderstandings and their reasons for the misunderstanding. So it never feels like an unnecessary plot point to get the two of them together.

I honestly didn’t expect this story to hit me as hard as it did. I’ve always appreciated Konohara-sensei’s bittersweet style, but About Love felt especially grounded in a way that made it linger with me even after I finished it. The relationship between the two leads starts off so quietly and awkwardly—it’s slow, frustrating at times, but also incredibly real. It’s not a flashy romance, and that’s exactly what I loved about it.

Both characters are stubborn and emotionally closed off in their own ways, and watching them stumble toward each... more>> other felt like watching two real people try to navigate feelings they’ve never had before. The misunderstandings (and there are so many) made me want to scream, but also kept me completely hooked. There were parts that genuinely made my chest hurt—and the fact that a story could make me feel that much just proves how strong the writing is.

What really stuck with me, though, was how normal it all felt. Like, these characters aren’t super dramatic or overly angsty. They’re just people—working, struggling, wanting to be understood.

It’s a quiet kind of beautiful. The kind of story that warms you up slowly without even realizing it. Definitely one of my favorites from Konohara-sensei. <<less

This is such a heart warming story. Author-sama created such believable characters experiencing pain of love, loss, heartbreak and reconciliation. Translator-sama did such fantastic work introducing us to this lovely tale.

Very realistic with HE.

I'd only say that overall, writers can write about demi-sexuals rather than straight-gay dichotomy.
