The Superiors was originally a typical “male-frequency” urban novel, centered on the cutthroat battle between the three sons of the elite Gu family for the position of Clan Leader.

Xu Juexi is a transmigrator. Unfortunately, he has ended up as a piece of “cannon fodder” a character whose sole purpose is to get the plot moving. His specific role? The Gu family’s “male wife,” arranged as a superstitious “good luck charm” to wed the eldest son while the old patriarch lay on his deathbed. In the original book, he was used as a pawn against the protagonist, eventually meeting a gruesome end with no remains left to bury.

On his very first night, Xu Juexi dreams of his horrific fate and wakes up shaking. He’s always been a “soft persimmon”—an easy target and since he hasn’t even read the original book, he knows he can’t handle any of the three terrifying young masters. He realizes he isn’t the type of transmigrator who can pull off a brilliant counterattack.

His plan is simple: keep his head down, play nice with the protagonist, and find a chance to run away.

But the moment he arrives, the script goes off the rails. He finds himself pinned against a wall by a man whose hot breath brushes his cheek. The man licks his itching canine teeth and asks, “Are you an Omega?”

Xu Juexi: ?

Wait… why does this “male-frequency” power struggle novel suddenly have an ABO setting?

As a side character, offending the protagonist usually leads to a bad end. So, when he first meets a Young Master Gu, even if he doesn’t understand why the man is suddenly “improvising” Xu Juexi submissively complies. He stays pinned to the wall, being kissed until he’s nearly breathless.

When the kiss finally ends, before he can catch his breath, the man tilts his chin up with a mischievous grin: “Do you know who I am?”

Xu Juexi suffers from mild face blindness; he can’t tell them apart. But he figures the only person who would do this is the one he’s “engaged” to. Attempting to please him, he tries a tentative:

“…H-husband?”

The man chuckles darkly against his ear: “You got it wrong… Sister-in-law.”

Terrified, Xu Juexi realizes his mistake. Giving the protagonist a “green hat” (infidelity) is a death sentence. He turns to bolt, only to collide straight into someone else’s chest.

Thinking this must be the protagonist catching him in the act, he decides to double down on the sweetness to save his life. He hugs the man tightly: “Husband, I’m sorry, I recognized the wrong”

Before he can finish, a slender finger presses against his lips.

This man also laughs: “Wrong again.”

Xu Juexi freezes. Then, he sees a third man appearing around the corner, his face cold and dark: “Just how many ‘husbands’ are you planning to claim for yourself?”

To the face-blind Xu Juexi, the three Gu brothers look almost identical. He keeps mistaking them for one another, over and over again. Honestly, he doesn’t think it’s entirely his fault—after all, no matter who he calls “Husband,” they all seem perfectly happy to answer.

But mistakes come with a price.

Eventually, Xu Juexi finds himself cornered in a bedroom by three Alphas in the middle of their heat (rut) period. With teary eyes, he pleads piteously, “Husband… I-I don’t feel well… can you get me a suppressor?”

“Xiao Xi, who exactly are you calling out to now, hmm?”

An Alpha’s kiss falls upon him, a hand presses against the Omega gland hidden in his mouth, and the tears at the corner of his eyes are l**ked away.

“Which husband do you want?”
