Warning: Major Spoilers for Manhwa and Novel

I read the novel and the manhwa. I enjoyed both. They are both different, and they both have different endings. In fact, each has a different ML. I briefly summarize both, so you can decide which one to read.

Both MLs are fairly likeable. If you prefer the traditional cold, intimidating MC you should read the manhwa. He's the alpha male crown prince. If you typically get 2nd ML syndrome, read the novel. The hero in the novel is the sensitive, gentle younger prince. He's... more>> a simp.

The novel is about forbidden love.

The CP are married to other people through arranged marriages. The spouse of the MC is heartbroken.

. The last few chapters were really good because it provided the husband's POV, and it explains why he was so cold and distant.

The manhwa is more conventional. It has more plotting, so that was fun. Unfortunately, since this is a love triangle, someone is going to wind up with a broken heart. I loved all the leads, and someone got shafted at the end. I will say, though, is that the MC is either fickle or immature. Or both. One day, she loves one guy. The next day, she loves him like a brother.

The 2nd ML isn't entirely innocent either. His wife suffered from unrequited love.

The MC in both is pretty bland. She cries a lot. She's timid and naive. I have a hard time believing that any Princess from any court could be that naive and foolish. Why do the MCs love her? Aside from her looks, I don't know. She's lonely. I get it. Nevertheless, she's a likeable character -- just not well-developed. <<less
