Min Dojun, the country’s top hunter was happily living with his wife, but the hunters’ coup took that away from him. ‘If given the chance, I will kill every single one of them.’ Did that earnest wish reach the heavens? Instead of dying while promising revenge, he found himself back in the past, with a trait that he didn’t have before, ‘Hunter’s hunter? Isn’t this a scam?’

So far it's still early but I'm enjoying the story, it's your good old regression revenge story and the MC is smart and making the most of his knowledge to get strong as efficiently as possible while also achieving his revenge.

If there's one issue I have it's his absurd luck, rare magic stone drops? He'll get them, rare boss rewards? He'll get them. It just seem pointless to point out the rarity if he never misses out on them but that just my opinions since lots of novels do the... more>> same. So far tho I'm enjoying it and will update this after reading more.

edit: so 31 chapters in and it gets kind of repetitive, it has a pattern of the MC clearing dungeons, getting rewards, and revenge. This wouldn't be a problem if the fights were tense and exciting but the MC is a veteran so none of this is new or difficult add an OP ability and it's easier. It's kind of a cakewalk for him so it feels boring at times, I'm hoping maybe we'll get some fleshed out side characters or anything other than dungeon clearing like an event but we'll see. <<less

Worth a read.

The MC gets betrayed but goes back in time with the ability to get the skills of hunters he kills. As of now, the reason isn't clear. Anyway, he's got a list of revenge targets, and he uses his future knowledge to progress while targetting and killing off his revenge targets one by one. It's actually pretty weird -- the plot is on the simpler side and so it really doesn't feel like there's a lot going on, but the story still has a way of making you... more>> want to know what happens next. I was planning to drop it but I found myself getting more and more into it, and before I knew it I ran out of chapters and still want more.

I like how the MC is a decent person but still takes the initiative when it comes to dealing with evil people. <<less

Decent stuff. Quite enjoyable reading, can recommend. It has it's own downsides, but overall very entertaining classic Korean novel. I didn't like some moments, like, author making all people or organisations, that will be targeted by MC, appear more "villainous". It feels bit unnatural and forced. Author could handle it less straightforward, but nonetheless I binge readed this novel with gusto^^

Kudos to translators, you did an amazing job 🙏

This is one of those poorly written stories, where everyone is unbelievably s*upid just so the average MC can appear amazing. The MC is barely a character so far. Maybe this is one of those self insert stories, but it seems too bad for that. The setting is the dumbest I've seen of any modern dungeon story.

It's a typical modern Korean dungeon setting. Dungeons will spit out monsters if left alone for a week, monsters can't be harmed by normal means, it's gotta be the super Koreans. There's thousands of... more>> dungeons across Korea alone. They manage them by letting these rare awakened hunters just form random groups and head on it to die. Or get killed/robbed by other hunters. Seriously, they've got a worse matchmaking system than destiny 2.

The dungeons have time limits, you can't leave before you complete the objective or you face a penalty. So they group up with random hunters and just head on in hoping for the best. No prior training together, just meet up outside the dungeon and head on in. There's guilds but they participate in the random grouping quite often as well. You'd think if the world depended on these people they'd have a better system then winging it. There's no interesting characters. Its just the MC, and one dude that drives him around. Everyone else that's been in the story is a victim of the MC, someone he's saved, or yet another group of people astonished by his super OPness. Same f*cking loop. He hits a benchmark level to enter a new dungeon say, 350 is the minimum to enter the new dungeon. He groups up with a bunch of randoms, "this weak guys gonna drag us down" then he kills something "oh he's so strong wow let's all stroke his schlong!" Rinse repeat. Although now apparently the author's switching it up by having him hide his power.

WHICH MAKES NO SENSE BECAUSE THERES A GLOBAL POWER RANKING. Everyone knows the ranks of everyone else in this worldwide ranking system. Ah, damn just writing about it got me annoyed again. Anyways, the stories bad. MCs gonna always conveniently get the item he needs, that sorta crap. <<less

Terribly one dimensional hunter revenge story.

This novel has a linear progression typical of similar genre. Mass produced Korean Hunter novel deprived to it's bare essential it's almost too generous to even call it a novel.

The protagonist follow the typical overpowered trope and obsessed with revenge. The story and character is painfully one dimensional without depth. Saying it nicely this novel is playing on the journey of revenge but actually the MC is only trying to be stronger going to dungeon but also he's already overpowered.

The cliche would be already strong... more>> MC, power stealing, newbie destroying, etc. The storytelling is flat and unappealing. There's no depth to the story and it's not particularly enjoyable, unless you want mind numbing mass produced Korean Hunter story stim.

5.5/10 average. There's so much potential and you can actually play around with the premise, but alas this novel can't do that] <<less
