Lan Jue is a monster born from the deep sea. The moment she first saw that human drifting among the waves, the feeling that stirred in her heart was not pity, but the most primal of instincts a pure, unadulterated hunger that craved to tear her apart and devour her.

If this “food” were to voluntarily belong to her to be consumed by her it would be a delicacy beyond all compare.

Everyone at WORSA knows that the newcomer, Lan Jue, is stunning, incredibly powerful, and seems to share an unspeakable connection with Yin Ning.

Months ago, during a shipwreck, a beautiful woman with long blue hair, blue eyes, and wearing nothing but two large seashells and a skirt of seaweed, saved Yin Ning. She brought her fish and shrimp, and warmed her against the cold.

Yin Ning was grateful, yet unable to shake her suspicions.

Until one deep night, cold, slippery “vines” silently coiled around her ankles.

Yin Ning opened her eyes to find Lan Jue sleeping soundly beside her. Yet, from her waist down, there were several grotesque, unnamed tent**les shimmering with a dark, bluish-purple luster. They were slowly writhing and stretching, silently coiling and climbing up her body.

If I can guide this power from the abyss… if I can decipher the mysteries of this deep-sea monster…

For that, Yin Ning was willing to pay any price, even if the price was herself.

“You saw it all, didn’t you?”

Lan Jue’s tent**les did not loosen; instead, they tightened.

Yin Ning remained composed, coaxing her, “Leave this sea with me. I can give you everything on land and satisfy your every wish.”

“The conditions?”

How does one explain the concept of an employer-employee relationship to a giant deep-sea beast? Yin Ning chose to play the role of a black-hearted boss.

“Let me be your master, and I will ‘provide’ for you. When you satisfy me, I shall satisfy you.”

Mini-Theater: A post on the holographic messaging network titled “I Have a Black-Hearted Boss” went viral. The anonymous poster claimed she had been on land for a year, working for a human every day, only for the agreed-upon payment to never arrive. She asked for advice on what to do.

The public was outraged, stating that in this day and age, such exploitation was unacceptable. They demanded the poster reveal the details so the World Court could intervene.

Theme: The road is long and difficult, but action leads to the destination.
