Please use proper spacing and paragraphs. The first time Su Xingyan met Yan Chong was at Qingyuan Temple on a day of torrential rain. Having just been lectured by his mother-in-law because his husband, Wei Chengran, refused to come home, Su Xingyan was lost in thought. Just as he was about to step into a deep puddle, he felt a hand grab his arm from behind, pulling him firmly into a warm chest.
Raindrops fell from the eaves into the puddles below. Su Xingyan looked up and met a pair of deep, burning dark eyes. The blatant aggression in that gaze scorched him. “Madam, be careful in the rain.”
Through the solid chest, Su Xingyan could feel the other man’s rhythmic heartbeat. Having been married for years, he knew all too well what that look meant.
The second time Su Xingyan met Yan Chong was at a negotiation table for a collaboration with the Yan Corporation. At the time, photos of his husband and his lover were the talk of the town. Su Xingyan stared at the information about the lover sent by the paparazzi, feeling dizzy and gripping his notes until his knuckles turned white. When he looked up, he saw the lover’s fiancé walking toward him as his new business partner.
“Madam, it’s been a long time.” Yan Chong shook his hand politely.
No one knew that after the meeting, Yan Chong pinned Su Xingyan by the waist, trapping him between his arm and the conference table. Leaning close to Su Xingyan’s burning ear, he whispered a warning with extreme intimacy: “I heard… your husband has been pestering my fiancée lately?”
“If my fiancée doesn’t show up for our wedding a month from now…” Yan Chong pretended to be troubled, his gaze playfully and wantonly roaming over Su Xingyan’s indignant eyes. “Then Madam, I’ll just have to have you take her place.”
In Rong Port, everyone knew the Yan family ruled with an iron fist, and the eldest son, Yan Chong, was a ruthless autocrat who always got what he wanted.
A month later, the Yan family wedding arrived as scheduled. The elite of Rong Port gathered in droves. Wei Chengran had divorced Su Xingyan the day before and fled with his lover.
In a locked dressing room, Yan Chong pressed Su Xingyan against the door, kissing him until he could barely breathe. Su Xingyan’s eyes were red as he struggled, the metallic taste of blood spread between them. Yan Chong seemed indifferent to the pain, his hot hand sliding inside Su Xingyan’s white haute couture suit…
“You don’t suit a suit,” Yan Chong rasped, his voice low and intoxicated. “Wear a wedding dress instead, President Su.”
Su Xingyan closed his eyes in humiliation. “…You bastard!” Yan Chong rubbed his thumb over the other man’s swollen lips. “Keep cursing. This bastard loves to hear it.”
One Sentence Summary: The husband spends every day hallucinating that he’s been cheated on by himself.
