Sweet biscuit fluff? No dog blood? That synopsis is wild.

A shou with avoidant attachment style, and a gong with anxious attachment style, y'all can imagine how things will really turn out. Nothing spectacular, but plenty entertaining and a good binge read.

First of all - Hats off to the translator. It's very well translated with almost no grammatical mistakes.

Second of all - CYC. He is the most 'good' person I have read in any BL novel with a hard/ harsh/ abusive past. He could have turned into a hardened criminal, gone the wrong way. But not only did he not, he even pulled/ bullied/ pushed his 'brothers' (despite their protests) towards the 'right' way. Not that it's easy. But he managed it.

All I know about him is that he's a doctor, he's rich & absolutely obsessed with MC. Something that comes through even from the novel description. Why is he so obsessed with MC despite not meeting for 16 years, what about his family etc is completely blank, atleast till where I have read. I know more about the side characters rather than the ML which is sort of weird.

But boy would I love a life partner like ML. Obsessed without being yandere, persistent without being creepy, subtle without being overbearing.

I liked it. Somehow, it felt gloomy and peaceful at the same time. And slightly awkward.

#Slice of life (as close to it as it can be). Obsessive character (ML). Traumatic past (shared past). Separation (16 years). Indifferent/non-supportive parents (ML).

I liked how MC was self conscious and was able to make boundaries at the beginning of their relationship. If not him being so mature, the story could have had a very different taste. I believe their relationship could have become ill, obsessive, and ugly.

ML's love (and obsession) for MC... more>> was very trustworthy. I enjoyed quite a lot how ML protected his relationship in his conversation with his mother... truly admirable.

As for the ML he's kinda average. He's not that eye catching compared to other MLs (from different novels) but at least he's not that irritating.

Give this Novel a shot though since it's quite a fast/easy to read, the translation is great and who knows maybe this is your cup of tea. <<less

I feel bad for these characters and I couldn't help thinking about the people who actually do go through what they did irl.

Anyways, the story is alright. I don't think the character development was interesting or engaging enough, but I still found myself rooting for their relationship.

I don't like MC's friends at all, especially GA who kept making homophobic remarks. I get it that the author wrote them that way to show the ignorance of people like them, but I just feel like these people didn't really add anything to... more>> the story other than being foils to show good (or incapable, depending on your POV) the MC is.

Like, the supposed premise of this novel was their "addiction" for each other. I did not feel that at all. There was no sense of desperation or like, "withdrawal" symptoms. I didn't even find their interactions romantic. Although there were some sweet moments later on, I still felt tired for both of them, seeing them with their anxieties and insecurities, and wished that they had both actually gone to therapy or something.

The events that happened throughout the story didn't develop towards this premise either. Not to mention, the ML is just so bland. I don't know how to word it or maybe I'm too bored right now but the ML is just too flat and 2D. He actually had pretty interesting character settings but how the author still managed to make him so boring is beyond me.

The MC was, well idk, human? Imperfect? He's not an MC that I can support, but I'd say he had the most character development in the story. <<less
