Description
Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.“You shall be my wife, and I shall be your strategist. I will help you seize the world, and from then on, as Sovereign and Subject, we shall never be parted.”
Set against the background of the late Tang Dynasty: power struggles, revenge, marriage, and the story of a Princess and her Consort. Featuring a Weak Top (Gong) x Strong Bottom (Shou) dynamic. The protagonist is cross-dressing as a man but will restore her female identity later. A Guaranteed HE (Happy Ending).
Strategist vs. Empress (Belly-black “pretty boy” scholar × Mad, paranoid Princess). Every character is a villain. The female lead is an antagonist; a gloomy and scheming woman meticulously orchestrates a plot to send her wife to the throne, joining hands to create a female-dominated era.
A case of framed extermination left Gu Junhan, who was born into a Duke’s estate and chosen as the Princess’s study partner, as the sole survivor. Having witnessed her family’s destruction with her own eyes, the seeds of hatred took root and sprouted. Thus, at the age of seventeen, under the alias Zhang Jingchu, she went to the capital for the imperial examinations. In one fell swoop, she topped the list as the Tanhua (third-ranking scholar), becoming known to the whole world. She used this to enter the imperial court and begin a secret investigation into the Gu family massacre.
The Zhaoyang Princess, Li Wan—who was well-versed in state affairs, lived long within the inner court, and had always been unwilling to select a consort—actively chose the Tanhua scholar as her husband after the results were posted. When seduction failed, she turned to coercion.
In Childhood:
Gu Junhan: “Princess.”
Li Wan: “Can you stop following me? I told you I don’t want to study.”
Ten Years Later:
Zhang Jingchu (Gu Junhan): “Lady Gu.”
Gu Nian (Li Wan): “Go trim the lampwick.”
After Marriage:
Zhang Jingchu: “Princess.”
Li Wan: “What should I call you… Gu Junhan?”
Zhang Jingchu: “Your subject is named Zhang Jingchu. The Princess has mistaken me for someone else.”
Li Wan: “We have known each other since childhood. Even if you turned to ash, it would be impossible for me to mistake you.”
Zhang Jingchu: “Why must the Princess make things difficult for me? Does it really matter whether I am her or not?”
Li Wan: “Difficult? I searched for you for ten years. They all said you were dead, but I didn’t believe them.”
After the Palace Coup:
Li Wan: “Why can’t you be like you were as a child… following behind me?”
Gu Junhan: “Gu Junhan is already dead. She died under the blades of your Li family.”
Gu Junhan: “My feud with your Li family is settled today. I owe no one anything—except you. This is the only compensation I can offer.”
Li Wan: “You think this will earn my forgiveness? I don’t just want the power in your hands; I want to trap you by my side forever, for all lifetimes to come.”
