Bai Shan, a college dropout holed up at home, spends her days obsessively playing a game called Tomorrow’s Dominator.

Global evolution, random natural disasters, grotesque horrors everywhere—the hyper-realistic models and vast, eerie worldbuilding make it impossible for her to quit.

In-game, she can customize her own RV to survive calamities and monsters.

She can acquire cold weapons, firearms, occult artifacts, and more to explore an open world crawling with abominations.

There’s even a gripping main storyline that keeps unraveling apocalyptic mysteries—thrilling and satisfying!

But something feels off. For such a polished, high-quality game, she’s never found a single other fan online. It’s as if she’s the only person in the entire world playing Tomorrow’s Dominator…

Until one day, global alarms blare. Anomalies erupt everywhere. The game descends into reality—

Bai Shan finds herself sitting inside a suddenly materialized RV, finally meeting her “fellow players”… all 8 billion human players of Tomorrow’s Dominator!

And along with them comes her near-max-level account: [Tyrant] .

The global leaderboard is brutal—players ascend or fall every single day, yet [Tyrant] has permanently occupied the number one throne.

It once massacred the entire top rankings in a single day, single-handedly reshaping the world order.

It once eradicated a dragon-class monster threatening millions, unlocking an achievement that bought precious extra time for all humanity.

On the player forums, theories run wild: some insist [Tyrant] must be an official game account, impossible for a real person; others swear it’s a superhuman project backed by an entire superpower, humanity’s last hope. The wildest rumors even claim it’s an ancient Earth god…

But one unspoken rule binds every player:

Beneath the Tyrant, all are equal.

All the speculation ends one ordinary afternoon when Bai Shan casually uses a name-change card—

Global Player Rankings

NO.1: Bai Shan

“My name is Bai Shan. The ‘shan’ from ‘kindness’.”

Reading Guide: The female protagonist isn’t actually very kind. Her golden finger is massive.

Honestly, I was liking the early chapters. The author did a good job setting it up. Keyword: was.

I was liking it until I got to this part where MC got ... more>>
Spoiler

an item that can revive a player. And her inner thoughts on that?

"Dead is dead. If life were given a second chance, it would somehow feel less precious. This item eroded the weight of life, treating it like building blocks that could be reassembled. Even gambling with your life would start to feel weightless and trivial. She didn't like it."

HUH???? Talk about being privileged.

Spoiler

Anyone who lived an unfortunate life would kill for a second chance. Also, life is NOT valuable just because it ends and that we only have one life.

Life is valuable because consciousness happens. Because sensation, our choices, attachments, efforts, love, anger, boredom, all of it occurs at all. Life is precious because it is lived even if it somehow happened twice or even a hundred times.

It was going so well... But I might change my mind if MC has actual character development

I've read the reading guide above so I wasn't really expecting a kind protagonist, infact it's the reason why I decided to read this novel after reading the summary. But it still annoyed me when I read her thoughts. <<less
