Uno had a love he couldn’t forget. Even after graduation, he continued to have an unrequited crush on Murakami, a college classmate who was well-liked by everyone. Determined to put an end to these feelings, Uno decides to do so at a friend’s wedding. However, he discovers that Murakami, who was supposed to attend, has gone missing after accumulating debt. Having lost everything, Murakami had become homeless. In an effort to end his feelings, Uno takes Murakami in and they start living together.

This is a realistic cautionary tale that straight guys won't magically fall in love with another man. Physical intimacy doesn't equate to love. I think it's called 'expired first love' because, like anything expired, it should be discarded, but Uno clung to it. The second part is called 'heartless love' because whatever the ML feels is anything but love; there's no heart in it

One word I would use for this novel is melancholy.

the way this portrays first love and how bitter and overwhelming but addictive it can be is so good

i also feel the way it showed the reality of someone falling for a same s*x person was very realistic and hit way too close to home and it really makes u feel for the MC because while some people might move on I know many people who would still cling to even a hint of sweetness

the second part was interesting it really... more>> reminds u that the ML if he didn't hit rock bottom would have never thought about the MC in this lifetime like he said he would have just been a air like person in his story

the name of the second part is also very fitting heartless love very much sums up how the ML feels for the Mc

I will say I do think in the end he does forms a twisted type of love for MC he definitely let go of his ex and that definitely made him embrace him fully I wouldn't call it a nice love or a sweet one it's a love built on loneliness, desperation and codependency with a hint of possessiveness at the end but I still view it as a version of love all the same.

which I mean I guess it's the best u can really get with the situation

Also it might just be me but I feel like the ML and his ex wouldn't have worked out long term anyways it might be me reading to much into it but the ML seems to have had some weird quick to anger issues and only someone like the MC who's a push over and blinded by his love would put up with tbh

but overall wish we got some more extras and I hope in the next life either the ML fully opens his heart to the MC or the MC gets snatched by someone who completely and wholeheartedly loves him <<less

I hated the story its codependency that leads to love at the end. The main character is a pushover even more so when is comes to the ML. I had to finish reading it to see why it had a high rating at the time. Two it was a short story. This story is only enjoyable if you enjoy twisted toxic love stories, you can't get over your ex, or if you have never been in a healthy relationship this story could be your cup of tea as well.

Because the ML knows that he uses the MC by pushing him down and forces interc**rse to keep them tied together. When he knows he doesn't feel any love for the MC at all for a whole year their weird situation ship. ML is aware the MC adores him but the ML views it as his duty to satisfy the MC since he helped him in his dark times.

The MC will forgive all the horrible things the ML does because of his feelings for this used to be bright cheerful kind ML. Focus on used to be. Surprise he gets corrupt because of losing everything and the MC is the only saving grace he has left. The question if everyone died but just the 2 people were left was put in a story describes this story.

HE WILL r*pe THE MC when the MC tries to tell ML to quit his job and stay at home so the ML can't leave him for anyone else. ML will push down MC while the MC begs to stop and is crying but will forgive him the next morning because he jusssssttttt loves the ML too much.

ML will r*pe the MC a second time near the end of the story after the MC basically two times and gets with a girlfriend to move on and gain happiness after no contact for 2 months with the ML. ML will keep f*cking him even with the girlfriend catches them and walks away.

THEN THE AUTHOR WILL END IT WITH THE ML OH FINALLY HAS LOVING EYES TO THE MC the MC won't reject their new relationship since he loves and forgives the ml.
