Anche is an obscure Tantou (short sword). Having passed through the hands of multiple feudal lords all of whom met untimely, gruesome ends he somehow earned the dreaded reputation of being a “cursed blade.”

But honestly, how is it his fault if his previous owners just happened to be short-lived?! Why do the history books paint him like some kind of cursed, resentful widow who brings ruin to her husband? Which historical gossip monger pulled that out of their ass?

Refusing to just take it lying down, Anche decides to take matters into his own hands. He stumbles upon a rogue, abandoned Citadel, deciding that healing the shattered hearts of these traumatized sword warriors is a job best left to him. …But is it really a good idea to leave it to someone carrying a “cursed widow” (scratch that) cursed blade reputation?!

He won’t accidentally break them all completely, right?!

Against all odds, Anche manages to pull them back from the brink of despair and even winds up with a brand-new Citadel of his own.

Seeing this, the sword warriors from the original Citadel immediately sense trouble. Feeling like hidden, discarded lovers kept in the dark, they start pulling out all the stops to win him back.

Who cares about being the hidden lover? They are absolutely stealing their childhood-sweetheart master back!

Suddenly caught in the middle, Anche panics. He finds himself desperately trying to keep the peace, playing both sides, and acting like a master of time management…

Until the day the two Citadels finally clash in the training grounds.

Mikazuki Munechika cold-bloodedly strikes down his alternate self from the other Citadel, completely ignoring the other’s complaints. Drop dead, enemy.
