Following her mother’s departure, Qu Jiu’s father arranged a marriage for her: she was to be wed as the official wife to the son of the Left Prime Minister.

Unwilling to accept this fate, Qu Jiu chose to flee the wedding, but during her escape, she accidentally fell into a deep body of water.

A mechanical voice suddenly rang out: “Congratulations, Host! You have successfully entered the world of a novel. Your beginner quest has been issued. Please complete it within the specified time limit!”

The system simply repeated its previous announcement as a flashing red warning light filled her vision. Seeing that time was running out, Qu Jiu had no choice but to follow the system’s instructions. Through a twist of fate, she arrived at a mystical, immortal mountain and noticed an inscription carved into a stone tablet: Four Spirits Mountain, home of the immortal sect, the Four Spirits Sect.

The system immediately added: “The Four Spirits Sect is currently one of the most prestigious cultivation sects in the realm. If you wish to join them and cultivate under their banner, you must pass the Immortal Examination. This serves as both your main storyline quest and the key milestone for your survival and ultimate return to your own world.”

“Please note, the Immortal Examination only takes place once every three years!”

Standing at the gates of the Four Spirits Sect, she let out a soft sigh.

“I just need to focus on passing the exam!” she thought to herself.

Her expectations were beautiful, but reality dealt her a swift blow when she was told: “Our sect only accepts… disciples with high-grade spiritual roots!”

Three years later, Qu Jiu participated in the Immortal Examination once again. Although her performance during the trials was exceptional, she was ultimately rejected by the elders of the Four Spirits Sect because she inherently carried demonic energy.
