To preface, this is a really enjoyable novel to read. I only dropped this because of one aspect that infuriated me.

The MC is way too lenient and reckless. The reckless bit I can forgive, for it leads to some fun sequences of events. However, the leniency boils my blood to its core.

The MC is a detective in this parallel universe. And so he always says he is averse to public attention; turning down interviews, acting roles, etc. Yet, the author will always spin a scenario where he is forced or... more>> accidentally showcases his ability while on camera. Of course, he tells everyone not to reveal it. They comply for a bit but not for long.

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM EXPOSES HIM. His sister, the crew members of a show, a paparazzi. It's all inconsequential but that really shows you the integrity of these people. Zero. None. Nada. They would sell out anyone and anything given the opportunity.

The crazy thing is the MC acts indifferent about it, as if them breaking their promise wouldn't make anyone even a little bit mad. Sure, it doesn't affect anything. But they made a promise and they renege on it. It isn't just a simple promise either, the MC has made it clear that he does not wish for it and has built up a reputation for refusing such things. Just infuriating, nothing less nothing more <<less

This novel is honestly so much fun! The MC is someone who lives in an apocalyptic world and he gains a teleportation skill which allows him to jump to a different version of Earth. This leads him to take over his own identity and take advantage of the fact there is cheap food in the normal world, and brings it back for his family in the other world. One of the best aspects of this is that because it's a parallel world, his family and friends are in both worlds.... more>> So you get to see him have a different dynamic with both of them.

While there are a lot of love interests cause this has a harem aspect to it, if you ignore it it's pretty fun. The MC ab*ses his teleportation ability to also investigate criminals because in the normal world he works as a detective, but in his original world he's like a soldier. Leading to him being able to ask a victim about for example a past stalker who was also in the normal world. Making him be able to recognize and arrest him in the normal world.

There's also an entertainment industry aspect because he "composes" songs for his sister. When in reality he just asks his original friend for songs to bring to the normal world. <<less

The novel had an interesting premise but it completely failed to live up to it in my opinion.

The story was somewhat okay in the beginning, became more interesting after roughly 150 chapters with a completely unsatisfying ending.

Spoiler

the initial arcs focused on using using the MC's connections in the hunter world as a detective in the normal world was interesting but it slowly fizzled out. The Atlas project was hyped up to be something more serious but it was a pretty disappoiting plot point in the end. It could've been more than just failed combat drugs and robots. The Dimension subplot made zero sense and was only there for the MC to be connected to the entertainment industry. The ending is the most disappointing one of all. The author was dropping so many chekov's guns he could arm a militia and did NOTHING on them. Questions like what are the monster gates, who and what are the shamans and why do they want to invade worlds were ignored and unanswered in a completely unsatisfying ending where the MC just analyzes data deep in the monster world for scientists in the normal world to make a gate dedtroyer device. The side characters were completely ignored in the end and stops in a completely unsatisfying open ending.

One of those solid written novels out there. While some parts are glossed over and ending is a bit rushed. Overall feeling is very good. Light, fun and charmy novel without any drama and hard feelings.
