BUT GOD the writing and characters are terrible. i stopped at chapter 41. i wasted a lot of time. the mc is such a damn pushover although he doesn’t appear to be at first. jean, the ml’s rival for the mc, had SO MUCH!!!!!!!! potential to be an amazing character but they crushed it the moment they went for the “guy rejects me so that means im automatically in love with him” route. it’s so painful bc i was actually really excited when he was introduced. 

the thing with heine, the ml, is also confusing. they first meet bc heine’s group saves the mc and then suddenly, heine became in love with him from then on?? if it was just mere interest, it would be fine but he was IN LOVE IN LOVE to the point of obsession since the get go

i was very excited to start this one.

it’s incredibly funny and the mc was somewhat refreshing. 

my problem was with the fact that it seemed to be a mix of 2 kinds of stories and it didn’t blend well for me. it’s not a purely comedic novel, it still has a plot and development but in order to keep the comedy, it seems that the author sacrificed making their relationship development.

i stopped reading at ch25 and even up to that point, the mc had no feelings for the ml. if this was just comedy and there was more chapters, it would’ve been fine.

the mc’s sole care on money was amusing at first for the comedy aspect but became frustrating after the ml confessed. here’s the thing: the ml isn’t a bad person. he treats the mc well even from the start and so the mc was beginning to be annoying with how he had no problems just tossing the ml aside for money. like, at the very least, be honest and don’t try to lead him on. this was the point that really made me lose my respect for him. 

i didn’t even want the mc to end up with the ml anymore because the ml deserved someone as good as him.

the mc refuses to be real with the ml. he quickly went from being a funny, charming mc to an annoying, seemingly-s*upid one that you’d want to root against. <<less

it’s really refreshing how healthy their relationship seems lol whenever they have an issue, it always gets resolved through communication. very reasonable couple for the most part <<less

f*ck so annoying. do you know how annoying you have to be to have a regular scum gong enthusiast like me dislike you? the ml isn't the worst ml i've seen but he is the most annoying! genuinely so s*upid that i refuse to believe his family didn't pay the school off to make him pass. for the first time, i did not want a happy ending for the cp. instead, i want the mc to leave!

even worse, the story is boring. ive read sqc's works and this is the only one i found boring. her style for 188 series is very repetitive but interesting in their own unique ways even before the wife chasing crematorium begins but f*ck.... this one's story is too boring!
