If you love story with a delicious taste of angst then please give them a try. Well they are not always angsty, because I love my pain with some sugar and fluff to make them satisfyingly bittersweet. Most have HE, but I'm not shy with BE. But this list is really just about novel I love. You can find pure fluff in here too, because always being in constant pain for 24/7 is no fun either lol.

Most of these are set in ancient China, because I just love this kind of setting and it's so easy to find angsty story in ancient China-setting story (event my favorite genre in cdrama is also costume dramas lol)
