I'm pretty selective when it comes to picking novels. I need either a compelling summary or some solid reviews and ratings to catch my interest. But even then, sometimes that's not enough. If a book doesn't hook me within a couple of chapters, it's out. There are too many great ones waiting for my attention.

Right now, I'm all about modern settings. It's my go-to genre, though I'm open to exploring different genres within that backdrop. Slice of Life is my absolute favorite, so you'll probably see more recommendations in that vein.
