The protagonist becomes bounded to a system where his main mission is to "die heroically". It's a unique concept and I must say that I love the execution. The protagonist isn't really overpowered, but he is supported by his system so that he can act his part well (e.g. reducing his pain sensitivity, giving him something like a 'perfect face mask' which allows him to maintain a beautiful and dignified appearance even when under torture). He is an amusing character. In fact, the whole novel is a mixture of (tear-jerking) drama and comedy. It's highly recommended!!  <<less

The protagonist, who was an idol trainee, inexplicably travelled to the future after entering the wrong audition for a talent show—— said talent show is actually a survival reality show where contestants fight for survival in a either an actual wilderness or a simulated map. 

From a boy who could only sing and dance, who had a body unsuitable for fighting and absolutely zero marksmanship skills, we see the protagonist grow into something bigger (of course, with the guidance from the enigmatic, powerful and very capable ML) as he trains his body to be stronger, learn survival skill, and master the art of combat. 

The novel is very action-packed and exciting, and filled to the brim with a lot of interesting factual knowledge that readers can learn along the way as the author fot every arc.

The protagonist has both high intellectual and emotional quotient (and it actually shows throughout every chapter) and the male lead is a rare species in a sea of Chinese novels, having been a warm-hearted, kind, and soft character. 

As of the first arc, I can say that the plot is very engaging and it is well-written and logical. There were a lot of foreshadowing that actually appeared in later chapters (and not entirely forgotten like they were never there in the first place). I also love how there were little snippets of the MC's past and emotional background, which makes the story more rounded.

I love how the relationship between the main character goes in a smooth transition from mere acquaintances in an employer-subordinate contractual relationship, to friendship, to something like close brothers, and then to actual romance. It's not just the romance (it doesn't even focused on that during the early chapters). The world-building, plot, action scenes are all interesting and intricately detailed. 

The protagonist is in no way overpowered. In fact, he is average in intelligence, honest, a bit naive, and optimistic. His best quality is his high talent in medicine (alchemy). As the story progresses, we see how he grows and matures from his weak and simple-minded self. Meanwhile, the male lead is very, very intelligent, capable and farsighted. He is different from the stereotypical domineering and possessive male leads. He is born with excellent, even heaven-defying talent, at the cost of his health and life span. It's interesting anf heart-warming to see the interaction between the two main characters because they are just so cute and genuine and honest with each other. Such a pure and healthy relationship-- a gem in the BL genre!  <<less

The arcs are interesting (my favorite is the supermodel arc ♡) and it's the type of novel, for me anyway, that I can keep on rereading when I have nothing to read and I never get bored of it.  <<less

The protagonist — a half-incubus half-elf assassin from a medieval fantasy like world — is reborn in an interstellar world and straight inside a popular virtual-reality game as an assassin-class player. He has both high intellect and emotional intelligence, keen senses, and 'deadly' skills. In order to gain the prize money, he uses his skills to win and advance in the tournament and becomes recognized as one of the best assassin. 

The novel's shou (uke) is an adorably contradicting young man who is intelligent and highly capable and efficient but becomes naive, childish and easily flustered when faced with the protagonist.

The protagonist is an honest and straightforward young man who is subject to neglect from his family, except for his mother. His big background, proud and straightforward character easily gives people an impression of being an arrogant second-generation heir. In fact, he is just a simple-minded person who, from being completely disinterested, becomes genuinely passionate towards acting after witnessing the performance of the male lead, who is a popular male lead. 

The male lead is a person who initially has a bad impression towards the protagonist, but after gaining the ability to read minds (to an extent), he realized that he misunderstood the protagonist and later becomes interested in the amusing, simple-minded, and imaginative world inside the protagonist's head. 

I also love how the characters in this novel aren't one-dimensional, especially some of the supporting characters. They didn't appear in the novel simply to become a cannon fodder under the main characters' halo but have personalities that makes them more rounded and relatable.  <<less

Two words: Gong abuse. 

The MC is from one of the many 'secondary world' where transmigrators can enter to do their mission. The mission? Make the MC fall in love with them by getting his 100% favorability. However, the MC is a very intelligent and cunning man who can control how much favorability he can give, and so many transmigrators/hosts have failed the mission. 

Until one day, MC gets bound with a system to traverse multiple other secondary worlds, becoming the 'attacker' (transmigrator/host) instead of the 'mission target'. With his keen intelligence and sharp mind (and PERFECT acting skills), he not only succeeds in getting the 100% favorability of his targets but also gives them the well-deserved "gong abuse". 

There's a lot of angst, but do keep in mind that the MC is perfectly fine and everything goes according to his plans. Even if he looks utterly miserable and tragic in the surface, he's actually enjoying everything inside. XD 

Plus, it's an HE + 1v1. 

If you're not afraid of some angst, a lot of pain, and a lot more tears— then this is recommended for you! ★★★★★  <<less

The protagonist, Zhou Yuhe, went from a very popular actor who had more fame and fans than his acting skills is worth, to an unpopular actor whose acting skills were honed from years of struggling in the industry after his disfigurement. After being reborn, he decided to address his lifelong regrets and truly become the actor he has always wanted to be in the previous life. 

Despite the overused rebirth troupe, we have here an excellent and well-written execution of plot, a protagonist whose wisdom, calmness and maturity actually fits his mental age, more dynamic and interesting characters, and beautifully-written and descriptive writing depicting the acting and filming scenes in the novel. 

If you love entertainment circle, acting, or rebirth plots. Then this story is perfect for you! <<less

The male lead is even more overpowered. However, the challenge comes with how the protagonist tackles the problems that appears on his way as he starts again from scratch and build his way up. 

The relationship of the main characters is beautiful. The both of them understands the other well and respects each other's career and opinions. They are also both mature and, unlike typical shoujo mangas, doesn't get long-winded at realizing their feelings and the s*xual tension between them. 

A nice mixture of smut, romance and a bit of comedy!  <<less

A beautiful, hilarious and intricately written novel focused on card-making. The protagonist is reborn in a futuristic era and enters a popular virtual-reality card-trading game. He becomes interested in becoming a professional card maker and uses his knowledge of the culture of his original world, China, to create unique cards that leaves people speechless (especially when they read the hilarious and annoying skill designs). ... more>>

The main characters are black-bellied and the progress of the plot is relatively slow. On early chapters, it seems repetitive because the protagonist is slowly learning the process of card-making. But on later chapters (I don't think it's translated thatt far yet), we see the protagonist finally enters the competition stage and uses his cards to fight against professional players. His cards are really very funny and the interaction between each characters is also interesting.  <<less

A light-hearted kinda slice-of-life novel telling the story of a loyal, capable and honest bear beastman whom, after being betrayed and abandoned by his long-time partner, decided to take in the weakest beastman in his tribe (who isn't actually weak at all). Said "weak" beastman turns out to be a transmigrator from an apocalyptic/dystopian universe who is pretty overpowered with his unique wood ability and the experience from his 'past life'. 

This is the first primitive society danmei novel (not including those from quick transmigration novels) that I've read, so I have a real soft spot for this one. Plus, I'm also really interested in primitive/beastman/tribal stories, so here it is!!  <<less

However, after reading the sadomasochistic and tragic life of the original protagonist of "Gentle Control" (ML), he resolutely decides to transfer to the ML's high school and become the light of the ML's life in an effort to protect him and keep him away from all the tragedy that will come thereon. Unbeknownst to him, the ML is actually a reborn person who has memories of his previous life (past timeline). He becomes suspicious of the protagonist's motives but later falls for the simple-minded, kind and passionate youth. 

There's a really interesting twist in this story that I won't spoil here. So, just read this to find out! ;) <<less

The story goes on as the two investigates the conspiracies happening around them, the cause of the sudden amnesia, and the secrets behind ML's mother's death. 

(Okay, that makes it sounds a bit too serious the way I put it.) 

In fact, this novel is actually really light-hearted and fluffy with a lot of humorous elements!  <<less

I believe this novel is a treasure. The whole novel itself is very well-written, with a nice flow of events, smooth plugging of flashbacks, and the characterization— I love how the characters are written. Especially the MC! He is just soooo different from most MCs I've ever read about. He is mature yet empathetic, gentle and patient, and he is such a smooth talker (〃∀〃)

Don't be scared off by the angst (because if you've read the synopsis, you'd understand that it's inevitable considering the whole concept of the story itself). Also, about the r*pe. Yes, yes, it exists. But I do advise anyone who's reading this that just because a novel has r*pe in it doesn't automatically make it a bad novel. Because I've been noticing lately that many novels are tr*shed in reviews just because they mentioned or depicted r*pe in some way or another. Don't judge a story just because you don't like that one part of it. If you really feel uncomfortable, stop reading and don't be masochistic. 

Anyway, since the beginning, the story will show you that the two main characters have a toxic relationship shattered by misunderstandings, misplaced pride (mostly the ML), and miscommunication. The characters change as they gain more experience (and pain) and we get to see then grow. The two main characters both have their flaws, evidently, and along the way, they learn to deal with it and survive against whatever fate throws at them... at the expense of a lot of pain. 

But believe me, the angst is worth it.  <<less

More than anything else, I love the characters in this novel, like how the MC is calm and independent and while he carries a hatred for the people who betrayed him in the past, he remains level-headed and doesn't single-mindedly pursues tevenge without reason. He is also a very capable man with a very good grasp at interpersonal relationships (I'm so envious T_T). And the ML!!! He's like my ideal man in many ways, although he is cold and aloof, his sincerity towards the MC coupled with his gentleness and tolerance which is simply a great contrast with mainstream donineering and possessive ML tropes. Their relationship is built on sincerity and mutual understanding, which is one big plus for me. ♡ 

I also love the graphic description of the acting and filming scenes, as well as the moderate pacing of the plot. Definitely recommended for those who loves the entertainment rebirth trope! ★★★★★ <<less
