I have no specific preference or genre in mind. I read everything as long as it is enjoyable to me. My rating system is actually quite simple: The more I enjoy it, the more it burns in my memory, then the higher the rating. That said, here's the minimum point of my recommendation list:

1. All characters must have consistency, minimum character development, and realistic to a reasonable extent.

2. The story has to be enjoyable. Template plot and trope are totally fine, but not repetitive. The depth and complexity of the story would affect the ratings, but not by much. 

3. I won't recommend anything below B rating, since there will be too much novels if I did.
