The low rating is odd-  there's interesting characters, tons of twists, heartache, powerful romance... the writing and translation are also smooth (though not always perfect).  The pacing can be a bit dragging as it tries to create tension.  The ML is actually a pretty good dude straight from the start, which is rare for dramas I tend to like, and a lot of the yummy drama originates from secrets, lost memories, etc, rather than everyone being constantly heartbroken. <<less

Not everyone will find this romantic, as it's more about the loneliness of unrequited love for several people.  The ML is broken and carries unrequited love and heavy guilt, but the FL clings to him anyway with a desperate crush.  You'll howl at how she pathetically longs for him and expects more to develope, all while he doesn't even KNOW she expects more.  It's frustrating.  She has no excuse to not realize how things would go, though he does push things too far.  No cheating exactly, but lying and disrespectful behavior, yes.

If he were the protagonist, we'd probably understand him the whole time.  He's not a only-ever-loved-FL kind of ML like most of this genre, so many people might not be able to like him.

If you want angsty, longing, aching drama, this one's for you.  I prefer more passion, tbh.

The second male lead is *chef's kiss*.  His complicated affection feels very realistic, it hovers perfectly between romantic and platonic to comfortably fit in this role, yet he's also everything you would hope from a typical ML.  I liked him best as a person. <<less
