[FYI: For those who are wondering what changed between the original copy and the revised copy, most of the changes occurred in between chapters 110-180, I think. But, the changes were mostly cosmetic. Like, making the characters fit better and straightening out the worldbuilding and such to have a more coherent development. When it comes to the big things, not much has changed, but since the MTL of the original copy is a mess, I recommend reading the revised MTL!) The premise of this novel is very similar to a lot of Zombie Apocalypse CN novels. The MC (Shen Shi'an) has a magical space artifact that enables him to cultivate prior to the apocalypse -- which multiplies his survivability after the zombie apocalypse officially hits. He's not the only one with powers, of course. This is the type were both humans and zombies slowly evolve to have supernatural powers, which causes great changes in the world's balance. The story is a lot more detailed than a lot of other similar novels though! Everything has a reason for existing, even the more whimsical magical space is given an explanation. As for the ML (Shen Xun), he's a mysterious being that comes barelling through the MC's life early on (before the apocalypse), and the two of them travel through a zombie infested landscape to start with, cultivating themselves and gathering allies along the way!ALL in all, it's a great read! Honestly, if the author hadn't been so flaky -- revising the original copy so majorly after publishing T.T -- i think this could have been a lot more popular. The writing itself is great. The characters are well-developed and complex, the setting has a strong foundation and development, and the plot is exciting and satisfying. There's really nothing to complain about! THAT is, if the revision weren't so major. *big sigh*. Now that the major revisions are done though (the main text has finished and all that's left are the extras) hopefully more people will read the novel! Anyway, as for my rating. It was originally 4 to 4.5 stars out of 5. Now I'm a little more certain. With the revised text, my rating is definitely above 4.5! If it was fully translated, it would be 4.75. But as for right now, since a majority of what I read is still in MTL, I can only stick to 4.5/5 for poor reading experience T.T <<less

[Rereadability: 9/10] [Game Elements, Interstellar, Farming, Infrastructure]This novel is lacking in many areas, but in the areas that it's good at, it shines~... more>> What I mean by this is that this novel should be read with a certain expectation in order to be enjoyed thoroughly. More specifically, you have to like infrastructure and farming XD. The tone is similar to the BL novel "Sand Sculpture Demon King" the one where the MC transmigrates in a western fantasy world as a demon king with his smart phone and starts to transport modern culture to enlighten the people of that world. Only, the things transported are different. Here, the MC transports ancient Chinese culture, food culture, and farming know-how by building a game focused on agriculture.It's surprisingly fun. You get to see the MC updating the game slowly — which is the focus of the story. As for the other things. It's not as good. The characters are mostly simple. At least, they don't go through tempering or extreme character development. They just live their life smoothly. Without any real conflicts or growth. As for romance … DX don't expect too much!! The romance here is sooooo basic that it pretty much has no reason to exist. The falling in love step is skipped directly or, at least, is not given enough development to be very realistic. It always feels like it came out of nowhere, so I didn't care much about it.My real goal in reading this till the end is seeing the completed version of the game — which was not bad. Kinda wish there was more game-building content, even, since there were a couple of loose ends here and there. And it seems like the game has a lot of room for growth. If I rated the novel based on the game aspect alone, I would give it a 5 star rating XD. BUT, as it stands. Ignoring my usual criteria for rating (character, romance, setting, and premise). It's relatively simple at first. Just a blank empty village with an NPC to hand out tasks for clearing wasteland and building a simple hut. The purpose of the game is to introduce the leisurely farming life to the interstellar people.He has no big goals. He just has no other way of planting at the moment. And he needs to plant in order to collect spiritual energy. In the end, the game he made becomes the best source of the energy he needs to cultivate. So he focuses his attention on the game more. Adding updates whenever he gets an idea, and, by the way, making money so that more people can play his game and give him star coins and spiritual energy.(As for the ML, he's the great admiral of the empire. He's suffering from a genetic collapse that has reverted him back to his kitty form and was picked up by the MC to be a pet and helper. Later, after he's brought to the game by the MC, the ML gains consciousness. But he doesn't remember being a kitty. So shenanigans with identity ensue. It's all very simple. 3.6/5!!! [Second Chance, Zombie Apocalypse, Animal Characteristics] (2nd Reread Update: 03/20/2023) This is a fun, cracky read. The first time around, I refused to read it for a while because it was unfinished and I was worried that i would be left hanging lolol. Good thing I waited since the ending is really rushed!!! Anyway, this novel is a lot of frustrating kind of fun XD. By that I mean ... While the tone of the novel can be said to be very light, it's actually not the easy-progress type of novel. From the very beginning, the MC and ML make a lot of mistakes (it can be said that every choice they made was... more>> the wrong one xD). However, these mistakes led them to a surprisingly smoother path forward. It's just that they have to suffer a bit to get there. ALL in all! I enjoyed it quite a bit, the feeling is very different from your typical novel.

SUMMARY: The MC, Fang He, had faced the apocalypse as an 8yo with a regenerative ability. Such an eye-catching power ... of course he was inevitably sent to be experimented T.T And he stayed in the laboratories for a full 13 years before finally escaping. Only, the escape was fruitless. In the end, he died and was reborn several dies before the start of the apocalypse. Well, it should be said that his soul had transmigrated over to a parallel universe. And, as for the original owner of his body, it's a newly weaned-off kitten!!

Said kitting was picked up by the ML, Li Zhen, who has a cold exterior but soft heart that just so happened to love little animals xD. From then on, their fate is tied, and, after hitting several roadblocks, one zombie and one cat fight against the apocalypse together.

I recommend it if you're looking for something fun and silly to read. It does have its dark moments, but it's mostly self-indulgent -- playing with the familiar tropes of novels of this type. It took itself seriously in the first half but gradually loses stability in the latter half. Still, the first part is worth reading! Even if it is a bit weird because the MC is a kitty for most of the story. And not just any kitty, but a kitty with a fairly young mind, no matter how old he was when he was reborn. <<less

SUMMARY: This story starts pretty much like any interstellar beastman CN novel XD. The MC, Jin Wowo, is a golden snail that had cultivated to the point of transforming into human. However, something went wrong and he found himself being transported into a completely different place altogether. Said place was completely deserted, but after a while, he has a surprise encounter with a beastman (the ML, Marshall Raymond) whose energy core was broken and was being chased by bad guys. The two become entangled after a series of misunderstandings and coincidences xD. The focus of the novel aren't the characters themselves, however. It's more plot-driven. Obviously, someone is out to get the ML, and the MC was involved by virtue of his coincidental saving of the ML. Luckily for them, the MC has a lot of cheats that will allow them to easily get out of trouble.

THOUGHTS: Not bad, not bad. I don't think it deserves a 4.4/5 rating, but I admit that it's a pretty fun read despite not having much substance. Usually, for BL novels, I write a more in-depth review than this, but because I wasn't completely conscious while reading this novel, I decided to keep it short and rewrite it later after I reread. For now though, I'm giving it a preliminary rating of 3.6/5! <<less

3.5/5!!! [Transmigration, Farming, Poor-to-Rich, Golden Finger] [The extra is a spin-off in a beastkin universe] Ahh, this type of novel is really relaxing! The main characters are active, but not overly ambitious or greedy. So you can fully enjoy the chill farming/poor-to-rich development. Of course, if you're not the type to enjoy such stories, this novel may be a bit boring for you, but if you're interested in such novels, I guarantee that its worth the read. Just, be aware, it's a bit difficult to understand at times (IDK if it's because of the author's writing style or the translation), but yeah, some things are really a bit clumsy. I ended up just ignoring it,... more>> but the frustration still left an impression.

SUMMARY:

This is your typical case of someone from modern times transmigrating to the past with a golden finger in order to get rich XD. The MC, Miao He, awakens as a recently married Ger with a horrible reputation. He falls into the category of 'soft-kneed and soft-hearted shou', so unlike most MC's that you see falling into this kind of 'family drama' situation, his first instinct is to get along with people (rather than break relationships). This ends up working just right for him. After all, his current husband (the ML, Yang Dalang) is very responsible and hard-working. To spice things up, the MC transmigrated with a golden finger (living soil = a ball of soil that can nourish the land and increase rate of growth of plants by x100 times) and there is another transmigrator around (though he ends up not playing all that big a role, he just provides contrast to the MC.)

THOUGHTS:

Because most of what I read was in MTL, I won't be doing a full review this time. All I can say is, that while the novel is far from perfect, it just so happened to hit all the right spots for me. I love farming novels like this, I find it really satisfying and relaxing. The reason I didn't end up reading this before was because I was afraid of the MTL, but it turned out that the quality of the MTL is not all that different from the TL available. Seriously! IDK how the author did it, but the MTL is very good! Outside of a couple of terms not being translated (e.g., yuanshen = i think it's original owner, xiyang = the cheat) that I could only guess from context, the reading experience was not bad. At least, 80-85% comprehensible. SO, if you're hesitating to read it because of the TL matters, there's no reason to not try.

3.35/5!!! [Futuristic, Xuanhuan, Slice of Life, Animal Characteristics] Altogether a nice read. It’s nothing overly complicated, but it was fun in a chill, casual way. The premise of the story was... One day, a sentient nine-tailed cat decided to run away from home where humans are waiting right around the corner in order to become an immortal. Unfortunately for him, just as his ninth tail was about to form, a human came barreling straight through his hiding place with a wish. This lucky human is the ML, or rather, the current Marshall of the Hintares Galaxy.The rest of the story that follows is mostly Slice of Life. The ML raising his magical cat with special... more>> abilities, the MC being exposed as the last cat from Earth, political internal conflict with researchers, and the mystery of their current location in the galaxy. Again; it’s rather simple. The characters are nothing complex and the romance is quite... stiff? I won’t be writing a full review for this one because I think it’s a bit shorter than my usual read LOL, but I will give it a rating! I finished it after all~

Based on my usual criteria: 3/5 for characters, 2.75/5 for romance, 4.5/5 for setting, 3/5 for plot, 3.5/5 for personal enjoyment. Altogether, that’s 3.35/5 stars!

3.35/5!!! [Fantasy, Futuristic, Fluff] Pretty good! I’ve tried to read this three times already (this was the third) and every single time I failed to get past the first chapter lmao. This time I made it through! It’s a very cutesy, futuristic novel. Nothing too complicated. You have a pure and talented shou and a possessive and stoic gong — you know, your typical dynamic. The MC is the shou, and he starts off the story as a little leopard. It should be noted that this is his second life, but his first was very limited because of illness. The only thing notable that he did in his past life was learn how to carve,... more>> which translated to the needs of this current era.

More specifically, the main “problem” in this story is that the Beastmen will fall into mania without a properly carved energy stone to guide their energy. Present carving practices have not managed to catch up and many Beastmen continue to fall due to mania. The MC’s arrival ushers in hope as he creates very effective energy stone carvings.

Again, it’s all very simple! The external plot is more of a side thing. So the main focus is exploring carving and stuff. I liked it, though I can’t say it’s of very high quality in terms of character or plot development. <<less

Summary: The MC, Song Huai, is a boy from a world gone interstellar. He woke up after receiving a blow to his head and discovers that his whole life had actually been based on a book. A book where he's nothing but cannon fodder that pushes the original CP together. His end is rather miserable as well. He dies at the hand of the man he pursued ever since he was a child, and was never able to even get a smidgen of his liking or respect. Anyway, since he doesn't want to repeat the life he lived in said book, the MC decided to go a different route entirely. He starts avoiding his long-time crush and accepts the engagement he had with said long-time crush's uncle, the ML, Lu Mian. From then on, what happens is a cliche love drama between two awkward people who struggle to communicate, but manage to make it to the end because of existing entanglements. <<less

[Zombie Apocalypse, Xuanhuan, Adventure] (2nd Reread Update) : I seemed to have liked this novel a lot during my first read, but it's plot-driven style is not really suitable for a reread (it's not as exciting when you know what's going to happen LMAO). The characters are not that special either. The MC is very indifferent and the ML is simply a cute and (later) sexy accessory most of the time XD. What's notable is that the Plot is of this novel is from the usual Zombie Apocalypse novel. Not only because the MC is a Zombie (and he's also a Gong!MC! Which is rare LOL), but also because he wasn't the person that... more>> was reborn with memories of the previous apocalypse.

SUMMARY: In any case, the MC (Ye Tianyi) awakens after being pushed into the zombies by his reborn cousin (who decided that killing off the strongest human at the end times was worth him getting his hand on the MC's space/farming golden finger.) As a threefold ability zombie with a hazy memories of the past, he's strong from the start and has no scruples about killing people in order to grow stronger. When he finally retrieves his consciousness, his primary goal is to get his revenge. But his ultimate mission in life is to grow stronger and survive with his Little Leaf (Mutant Beast ML that can transform into a human.)

My first rating for this novel was 3.5/5. So it's kind of amazing how much things changed XD. In any case, I don't think this is a bad read! Despite my low rating for it, I still had a lot of fun the first time I read it. And this time around, I still completed it (I mean, it's short and pretty interesting, so yeh!) The thing I enjoyed most is the difference in perspective. I read a lot of Zombie Apocalypse novels. And this was my first with a zombie as an MC! The differences between the two were really fascinating! I recommend it for that reason~ <<less

2.45/5!!! [Quick Transmigration, Slice of Life, Cat-Lover] This novel summary and title is very misleading. Rather than its current name, it should be titled something like: "Transmigrating into my own novels to pet cats" XD. That's pretty much the whole story. It's a very laid-back kind of novel where the MC is mainly indifferent and just wants to live life as he pleases (which is with a cat around his person, for the most part.) If you're looking for that kind of simple and cat-filled story, this isn't too bad to spent some time on. Unfortunately, I'm not a cat-lover, and I don't really like the passivity of the MC (who transmigrated for no reason... more>> -- he pretty much just sticks to the ML constantly, not really intending to do anything but watch.) To make things a little clearer, here's a brief summary...

Summary: The MC is an author that is popular for writing satisfying face-slapping novels with horrible endings. After finishing his most recent work, the hatred on his person suddenly broke world boundaries, and he was forced to transmigrate into his works to witness the chaos that he had caused. This would have been a rather interesting premise (you know, fighting against fate for a better ending). However, from the very beginning, the System told him that he couldn't do anything to change the end. It was very certain of this. And yet ... by interacting with the ML, the MC appears to have easily changed the plot.

Thoughts: The fluff factor is not bad. It's pretty cute, and if you like cats, you'll probably find it both charming and amusing. The transmigration aspect is pretty much of non-importance, however. It's just a convenient way for the MC to world-hop. The summary states that the MC is supposed to clean up his mess, but since the System says he can't change anything, he really doesn't do anything. Causing him to be passive to the point of being boring. I suggest that you just ignore the transmigration plot and enjoy the fluffy aspects of the novel XD. This is my second time reading this, and though I was better prepared, I still ended up getting led along by my expectations. The first time I read this, I made it c8. Now, it's further at c24. Maybe, with this more in-depth review, I can better prepare myself during the 3rd read XD.

Although I didn't get far along, since it's my second read, I decided to give this an official rating. For the time being, although I see some of the novels good points, for the most part, my impression is pretty bad. The characters, in my eyes, are too flat and boring. The pacing is too slow, and there's a serious lack of tension. If the summary had revealed all of this, I think I might have thought better. But since I was mislead to think that this novel would be like the other QT novels (where the MC is constantly struggling) I ended up all the more disappointed. Hence ... the low rating. <<less
