4.75/5!!! [Transmigration, Historical Fantasy: Primitive Times, Adventure, Xuanhuan] I was mainly interested in this novel because I was looking for a good infrastructure story. This ended up being more of a Clan Building Novel though! As in, the focus is mainly slowly enriching the livelihood of a tribe, as well as exploring the various other tribes. In short, it’s a novel that is very rich in world building — which is one of my own personal favorite aspects in a story. The main premise is as stated in the summary. The MC is thrown back into ancient times. But these ancient times are a little weird. The people here group themselves in tribes, which is pretty normal. However, each tribe has different powers based on the totems that they support. The MC’s tribe, for example, are people with enhanced physical bodies. Of course, to counterbalance the strength of these super humans, there are dangerous beasts and environments that make it difficult for them to live — despite the fact that, if they were thrown into modern day society, they would be absolute kings LOL.

The situation of the MC’s new tribe is not optimal. He arrives as an orphaned kid and is forced to struggle to survive like all the other children in the tribe. As they explore new opportunists, their situation will of course improve! But unlike most clan building novels, which focus on the MC using their modern knowledge to build infrastructure, this MC focuses more on assimilation into tribal society and learning a little bit at a time.

The story starts off slow-paced before becoming faster near the end. I ended up quitting just before the end (not strange for me, I have a tendency of doing this with long stories *sneezingface*) but I really liked this story!! It’s not what I usually read, no romance, for one! But I loved it regardless! And I would definitely want to read this again in the future. I can’t really rate this based on my usual criteria, so I’m basing the rating for this novel jusf on my personal enjoyment—which is a solid 4.75/5! There were parts I skimmed through (mainly the action parts), that I think some may like or dislike based on their preferences, but for me the rest of the experience was pretty great! <<less

4.33/5!!! [Survival, Horror, Unlimited Flow] OOOF, I avoided this novel the whole time because it seemed a bit whimsical for a survival novel LOL. I turned out to be completely wrong! Although the novel does have a bit of whimsy to it, the survival instances are very detailed, and the overall plot development is well-structured. As some people have said, the ending is a bit rushed. But it's not so rushed that it isn't satisfying. The author did a pretty good job tying up all the loose ends so that the story can be enjoyed as it despite the rushed ending.... more>>

Summary: The MC (Su Zimo) has been stuck in his own paralyzed body for almost four years. During these four years, he's been tortured unimaginably by the fact that he was incapable of doing anything. Just when it was about the end, however, he finds himself waking up in a small shop called An Yu Yi Yu. This shop leads to a world called the Nightmare World --- which is a world where people from his world are being dragged into regularly to complete tasks. In order to get inventory for his shop, he has to visit all these worlds without the identity of a trainer (name for people doing tasks) and solve the mysteries along with everyone.

All in all, it's a really good read! I highly recommend it! The novel does indeed have its shortcomings, like the romance --- it really should be called 'Shounen Ai' because there's really not much progression even until the end. Not even a sign of the two being anything more than fond of each other. At least, not on the MC's end. So, if you're looking for romance, this novel definitely isn't the place to go! Otherwise, the TL is good so there should be nothing to stop you from reading now if you wanted. <<less

3.5/5!!! [Game Elements, Survival, Fantasy, Infrastructure-Building] This is a novel for people with a special tastes. That is, those who like novels with Game and Survival Elements. In terms of character development and romantic development, it's quite lacking. The plot is also pretty straightforward with a rather disappointing ending. I just happen to be a person who like such things, so this novel was just right for me. If you're not the same, it's probably best to avoid this novel. Or, well, you can try it out, but there's no telling if you'll enjoy it. It's short enough that it shouldn't be too much time invested though! And the TL is quite good.

Usually I would write up a rather lengthy review, but because the novel is shorter than my usual read, I've decided to keep this review trimmed up and just note my usual criteria: Character: 2/5 (Really poor character development. Actually, there's no development at all. I'm tempted to give this a 1/5 rating, but well, despite the lack of character development, the characters are still notable in their own ways). Romance: 1/5 (I have no choice, this is really not a romantic novel. There is a romance subplot, but it's pretty much non-existent. As such, although I included this on this list, it would count in the overall rating.) Setting: 4.5/5 (The game elements were very consistent and there was a reason for everything in the end! It's only that the fast-pacing something cut off those details I like.) Plot: 3.5/5 (The novel can be a bit dull if you're not interested in infrastucture/farming/crafting/etc.), Personal Enjoyment: 4/5 (Despite the fact that I consider this novel far from perfect, there's no denying that I enjoyed it in my own way!

That means that the final rating is: 3.5/5 stars! Not bad~ The story is definitely far from perfect, but it should have a niche audience who would enjoy it. Could have been better if the author paid a little closer attention to the characters, but I'm also content with the way it is~ <<less

4.7/5!!! [Transmigration, Western Fantasy, Mystery/Suspence] OOOF, I didn't know anything about this novel at first and thought it was completed. I didn't realize that it was a part of the series and only considered it the first book of a trilogy XD. REGARDLESS, it's a really good read for those who love worldbuilding. The author is really intense about it. So much so that a lot of the novel is comprised of lengthy analyses of all the different elements that make up the universe that it created. I liked the novel a lot because of this aspect, but I understand that some people may not feel the same because it can get a bit boring... more>> at times. AHH, anyway, let's move on to the rest of the review, starting with ...

Summary: The novel starts off like your typical transmigration novel. The MC is your typical, ordinary man that ended up mysteriously traveling through time and space, only to occupy another person's body. The person in question is called, Klein Moretti, and the MC takes on his identity from then on, as well as the burden that came with it. This burden comes in the form of the original owner's mysterious death and the equally mysterious foggy realm that connects him with other people across this new world. It should be noted that this world is kind of steampunk in style, with lots of western fantasy elements. More specifically, here, there are ordinary people and then there are people who have mystical powers that can be said to have been inherited from the Gods. By ingesting a corresponding potion sequence, one can gain great strength. BUT, it comes at the cost of risking one's sanity.

Altogether, it's a very complex world with great characters and a wonderfully rich setting. Worth reading for both of these things! Though, it's definitely not your typical read. The novel definitely has its shortcomings, and I feel really complicated about the end of Book 1. It was definitely a bit rushed and I became more and more disinterred of the MC as a character (let's just say that it's very hard to sympathize with his experience). HOWEVER, knowing that this is not the end, I'm feeling pretty optimistic about the novel regardless. I won't be writing a full review because I don't think this novel can be rated based on my usual criteria. BUT, according to personal enjoyment, I think this novel deserves a 5 star rating. Though the official score would probably be around 4.5 - 4.75 stars XD.  <<less
