It took me several months to decide to finally read it… Mainly because I wasn't sure what to expect LOLOL, which is probably purposefully done, the author likes their mystery and suspense. But, back to the main point—the main premise. This is set in a sci-fi universe where time travel is a thing. The MC (Ji Yushi) and ML (Song Qinglan) are basically the human version of Time Lords (Doctor Who reference!) One is a 'Recorder' that observes the timeline silently, while the other is a 'Guardian' that protects the timeline from unexpected troubles. The story begins when Recorder!MC is asked to participate in a mission with Guardian!ML's squad. Then, what starts off as a regular mission becomes a complete mess!Lots of time travel shenanigans in this one! When I first found Mist, it was during my Zombie Apocalypse novels spree (it came up as a recommended). But I passed on it because of the tags being weird. Now I understand that the Zombie Apocalypse isn't really the focus. This is definitely more of an infinite flow kind of novel. Where the characters must survive through seemingly impossible instances that challenged their very life and death. I can't say too much without spoiling, so I'll stop there~ But this is definitely an excellent read and I recommend that you try it out if you're still hesitating like I was in the past!The characters are very well written, and the overall development of the plot was very satisfying. The author is great at tying everything together, and the world that they created was 1000000% interesting. OH—-The story is heavy in action and suspense (not a horror, but it was a bit creepy at times), and it's kinda impossible to put down as a result lolol! So if you're going read this, I recommend doing so when you have the time to read it in one or two bursts~ <<less

[Survival Game, Horror, Supernatural, Adventure] This review is for both parts 1 and 2 of the "Welcome to the Nightmare Game" series (although I specifically didn't read till the end of the second novel because the TL isn't finished yet~). This novel seemed like a fairly simple infinite flow/survival game type of novel -- which it is! But, it's a bit different from most of the ones I've read in that the important instances are all connected to each other (if you've read "The Earth is Online" then you'll know what I mean) -- it's all one big story, and the MC triggers a big chunk of this story after playing the original game... more>> and then being sent into the world of Nightmares.

I expected this novel to be a horror -- but it's actually more of action/adventure/thriller. There are horror themes, and the story can seriously get creepy at times. But, for the most part, you don't have to worry about being in high-tension all the time from the scares. The power system in this novel involves cards, and the MC's main one is the ability to reload a file (although it's a little bit more tricky than just simply going back into the past to try and try again). There's gore and death, some of which are from highly likable characters that play a key role. There's also tragedy and angst -- but it's wrapped with sweet, hopeful romance.

IDK it's really hard to describe this novel LOLOL. All I can say is... that you should definitely read it! It passed quite a few hands when it comes to translations, but they're all of good quality. I also think it's possible to read the novel now even though the series isn't completely translated yet. If only because there's a good stopping point before the mid-point of book 2. If you're willing to risk it, I swear you won't regret it~ It's a story with lots of exciting ups and downs, and the characters are well-worth the care invested. <<less

4.25/5!!! [SYSTEM, World-Hopping, Time-Travel] This novel is surprisingly... deep? If you've read the author's other works, you'll know what I mean. It's oddly purposeful. The author packs a lot of content in a bite-size novel (in my eyes, at least). Most of it is in explaining the world and the people living in said world. For a world-building addict like myself, this was just perfect XD! In terms of plot and conflicts, this novel can't be said to be very good. At least, it's not very exciting. There isn't much tension either. But the author has a way with their words, making you sink deeper and deeper into their world. Here, there are multiple worlds... more>> explored, which makes it even better. Each instance is very unique. The MC doesn't really have a purpose or BIG goal anywhere. It's more about experiencing the different planes that he travels and growing up as a supermarket boss lolol.

Anyway, that's about all I can say. This is the kind of story that I love but always feel kind of speechless about. Like I can't describe what I like about it. It's just... good? In terms of characters, you can say that they're very simple. But they also feel very real. In terms of romance, I thought it was cute. It's not the focus, and it was never meant to be, but for a shounen ai, there's enough sweetness there for you to chew on. So, yeah! Great read, would read again. My rating for it is 4.25/5! I'm a very picky person, so that's actually a very high rating for me lol.

SUMMARY: The MC has been obsessed with running his own supermarket for years. When it finally happens, he's thrown off by a sudden plane jump that brings him to a world where people are fleeing from famine. He doesn't really realize this at first. He traveled with his supermarket building and there's a newly installed system in it, but it doesn't tell him what he should do next. It's just there. Anyway, he doesn't know what to expect from this strange situation, and he's not willing to risk his life for the sake of his curiosity.

Fortunately, he's pretty lucky. A mother and daughter pair came knocking on his door, and through them, he was able to find out more about the world. It's also due to them that he figured out what role to play! That is, the BIG BOSS. In a world of chaos, he can only pretend to be a master immortal in order to survive with his weak body and wealth (i.e., the stock in the supermarket). Eventually, he unlocks some new features in the system that tells him what to do next. It's all about figuring things out bit by bit, gathering new people around him, and slowly building up momentum until he finishes what the system wants him to do and is able to travel to the next world.

(As for the ML, his name is Zou Ming, he was hired by the FL from the system database and he helps the MC a lot in the early stage. There's a big mystery around this quiet and loyal ML, but I won't say it because it's more fun to figure it out yourself.) <<less

3.93/5!!! [Entertainment, Comedy, Interstellar, Quick Transmigration, Farming] This is 100% a novel all about farming, there's no lie in this! Okay, maybe it's more like 99.999% farming LOLOL. The story is set in the interstellar era, but there are some fantasy elements mixed in, like the fact that people can awaken to bloodlines that can affect their desires and urges. In the case of our MC (Cui Qichao), he awakened an ancient bloodline from an emperor that farmed for the sake of his people -- as such, all of his actions were driven by the urge to claim land to farm for the sake of his subjects LOL. In order to appease his instincts (which... more>> is impossible in the heavily crowded interstellar era), he decides to sign up for a virtual broadcasting company that will allow him to hunker down in different worlds to farm.

As for the Shounen Ai tag, our dear ML is a bit of a spoiler himself because, as mentioned, farming is the focus and everything is background. Much of the development in their relationship happens in the last two arcs! So this is a super slow burn novel. Even with the ABO world, the story maintains its fresh and clean style. I recommend that you read it if you're looking for something funny and casual. There's lots of foodp*rn too, so that's a plus for all the foodies out there. Other than that? I found the lengths of each arc to be pretty good, even though some parts dragged a bit, there was always something new to enjoy in all the different worlds (despite the continuous farming theme). The translation is great too! And since this is CG, you can enjoy great pics of the foods discussed while you read~ <<less

I don't dare to recommend it lightly, but objectively speaking, I thought that it was pretty good in its own way. It's just a matter of whether or not you're in the mood for abusive romance XD. If you are, all I can say is that the abusive romance here at least makes a lot of sense. There's a reason for everything that the characters do. Although, in some cases, you don't get to find out why until the very end (so, if you're feeling impatient, I suggest giving this a pass until you're in a more suitable mood.)... more>>

Summary: This is your typical quick transmigration novel, with just some slight adjustments. The MC, Xie He, hops from world to world with the mission of capturing a specific target. This is may be a bit of a spoiler, but let me just say that the ending for each arc is rather miserable. Here, the repetitive aspect is the abusive romance. In order to accomplish his goals sooner, the MC will always choose the most ruthless method of capturing his target -- which usually starts with first abusing himself, and then abusing the scum gong in question.

Thoughts: For those that are softhearted, this novel really won't work out at all ... The best thing to do is read it with the mentality of abuse xD. You can't expect any romance or fluffy feelings. If you think of it as scum gong vs scum shou, it's pretty interesting. At least, you get to see the psychological activities of the main characters (the MC always embodies his host completely, so you'll truly get to see the POV of both sides). I found that interesting, and it was what kept me interested in the beginning.

After a while, I began skipping and skimming arcs, but that was after I confirmed that the arcs were almost completely separate from the main storyline. Only the first 4 arcs, arguably, are important to understanding the ending plot. So, if you want to skip starting from there, it's perfectly fine, you won't miss much of anything. Which is the beauty of transmigration novels like this, I suppose XD You can pretty much pick and choose the adventure you want to see. Due to this, I didn't really read the entirety of the book (which is also why I'm not doing a full review, even if I ended up reading the ending arc). Upon which, I was able to finally enjoy some fluffy romance. SO, altogether, a satisfying read for me. As for whether or not it will work out for you, it really depends. I suggest giving it a shot and backing out early if you find that some of the themes are too much (because, honestly, they will only continue getting worse lol).

If the story wasn't so repetitive, I would have rated it a little higher. In the end, I guess that's the disadvantage that contrasts the pros of separating the story arcs so clearly from the main storyline. It really feels a bit worthless to read the entirety of the story. I'm rating the novel based on what I read, which included only the story arcs I thought interesting, so there's definitely some bias here. However, idc, hehe.. When it comes down to it, I think the novel is worth it, even if for the character developments alone. Those were really fun! Not top-class, but the variety was great. <<less

Some QTs have a tendency toward being repetitive or lacking in character development, but this has a very distinct development on the MC's end, so it's particularly satisfying, even if some areas are a bit draggy (it's not to an extreme point.) The main premise of this novel is that the MC (Qin Lang) is forced into a 'dating game' by his mother. As someone part of a futuristic, interstellar world, the technology is very advanced. Advanced enough to allow people to experience different worlds. The MC is sent into said worlds with one mission: To Fall in Love~ Specifically, to fall in... more>> love with the ML and get the ML to love him in turn.

Minor Spoilers:Arc 1: Modern Day - Rich, second generation MC that bullies the poor ML with a mysterious background.Arc 2. Entertainment Circle - Pitiful low-tier star MC that has been married to the film-emperor MC for five years but is unappreciated because of a white moonlight.Arc 3: Supernatural - Ghost Master MC and fierce-ghost!ML.Arc 4: Zombie Apocalypse - Zombie!MC and dark-ability-user!ML.Arc 5: Interstellar / Beast-companion - Disabled-Gong!MC and Scheming-Demonic-Fox!ML.Arc 6: Xianxia - Uncle-Master!MC and Demon-Disciple!ML.

It's fine if you're interested in plot-driven short stories where the MC is super dense and the ML makes appearances in various Yandere forms. That sounds a bit bad, but I know that it's pretty fun to read tr*shy novels like this when one is in the mood for it. Summary: The MC of this novel is an author facing writer's block. One day, he finds a system inside of his head urging him to start hopping from world to world (the world of his novels) in order to ensure that the protagonist achieves his destined ending. This sounds pretty interesting in theory, but the MC becomes a completely passive observer in both the arcs I've read. His only contribution to moving the plot along is subconsciously seducing the ML, while completely being unaware of it LMAO.

Thoughts: If the MC participated in the progression of the plot a bit more, I think I would have found the story more interesting. As it was, he really does practically nothing. Although he has free reign so long as the ML gets his destined ending, he doesn't try to make use of his knowledge to ease the progress. He just goes along with it all. Making the whole quick transmigration experience seem utterly pointless in my eyes. I'm the kind of person that dislike passive MCs like this. I enjoy character-driven novels where the characters are actively driving the story forward. So yeah. It ended up not being my kind of story. However, if you enjoy plot-driven stories and just want to indulge in experiencing multiple worlds in the POVs of the same characters, this is not a bad read. So, it all depends on what you like!

Regardless of this, I still thought that it was interesting at first. If only because it was not at all what I expecting. Judging solely from the premise (the whole "slag man white-washing" thing), it seems like it's a novel with lots of angst and drama. But, things are a lot more convenient and coincidental than other Quick Transmigration novels of the same type. There's still angst, but it's not super heavy. Which makes sense, I guess, since the lengths are relatively short (around 10-12 chapters each). All in all, I think this is not a bad read if you're looking to just casually waste time. I chose not to write a more complete review and left the novel unrated because I didn't get very far, but I think my rating for the novel would be around the 2.75-3/5 range. <<less

2.45/5!!! [Quick Transmigration, Slice of Life, Cat-Lover] This novel summary and title is very misleading. Rather than its current name, it should be titled something like: "Transmigrating into my own novels to pet cats" XD. That's pretty much the whole story. It's a very laid-back kind of novel where the MC is mainly indifferent and just wants to live life as he pleases (which is with a cat around his person, for the most part.) If you're looking for that kind of simple and cat-filled story, this isn't too bad to spent some time on. Unfortunately, I'm not a cat-lover, and I don't really like the passivity of the MC (who transmigrated for no reason... more>> -- he pretty much just sticks to the ML constantly, not really intending to do anything but watch.) To make things a little clearer, here's a brief summary...

Summary: The MC is an author that is popular for writing satisfying face-slapping novels with horrible endings. After finishing his most recent work, the hatred on his person suddenly broke world boundaries, and he was forced to transmigrate into his works to witness the chaos that he had caused. This would have been a rather interesting premise (you know, fighting against fate for a better ending). However, from the very beginning, the System told him that he couldn't do anything to change the end. It was very certain of this. And yet ... by interacting with the ML, the MC appears to have easily changed the plot.

Thoughts: The fluff factor is not bad. It's pretty cute, and if you like cats, you'll probably find it both charming and amusing. The transmigration aspect is pretty much of non-importance, however. It's just a convenient way for the MC to world-hop. The summary states that the MC is supposed to clean up his mess, but since the System says he can't change anything, he really doesn't do anything. Causing him to be passive to the point of being boring. I suggest that you just ignore the transmigration plot and enjoy the fluffy aspects of the novel XD. This is my second time reading this, and though I was better prepared, I still ended up getting led along by my expectations. The first time I read this, I made it c8. Now, it's further at c24. Maybe, with this more in-depth review, I can better prepare myself during the 3rd read XD.

For the time being, although I see some of the novels good points, for the most part, my impression is pretty bad. The characters, in my eyes, are too flat and boring. The MC of this novel is named Chi Xiaochi. He's an anchor who died and was given the opportunity to sign a contract with a SYSTEM that would allow him to go back to his old world and grant him one wish after he completes 10 tasks. Such tasks take him to various worlds -- playing as the Shou to the abusive scum Gong so that he can brush up on their regret value. OR, in other words, his mission is to 'reform' the scum Gong by making them regret their scummy ways. Our ML is 061, the SYSTEM that is in charge of the MC. And there's a mysterious past that ties them together. Through the various tasks that the MC and ML undergoes, they slowly find out more and more about said mysterious past. And, in the process, unearth some dark secrets about the MAIN SYSTEM.

If I had to say what I like most about this QT, it has to be the fact that all the different worlds are tied together by the main plot (the one between the MC and ML as well as the external conflict with the Main System). It's easy for me to get bored of other QTs because they have a tendency to be too repetitive. And, without anything tying the different task worlds together, it's almost as if I were reading separate short stories LOLOL. This novel is great because it's a whole. Everything connects together to make a bigger and better story, which I just love~

Definitely recommended for that reason! Of course, I ended up stopping because the TL is still incomplete, but this is a novel that I'm definitely going to come back to. As for the premise of this novel... what's unique here is that the MC is fully aware of what's going on. He was coerced into doing it, like your typical QT novel, but from the start, everything had a somewhat logical (even if the method of doing so was a bit fantastical) reasoning. The ML in a coma because his consciousness, or his soul, rather, had been lost to other dimensions. In order to get him back, they found someone who was able to travel through dimensions to find him. The MC, who just so happened to be a transmigrator, or more like a fully conscious reincarnator (he can remember his past life) was the best choice.

OH, and the romance! Well, it's not really very romantic. The MC is very apathetic and the ML doesn't have much of a personality. As mentioned, he's a bit of a "toolman". XD I won't be giving the novel a rating because I didn't get to read even half of it. But as for the basic range, it would probably be somewhere from 3 stars to 3.45 stars. <<less
