This is a fun, well researched, creative story with an interesting underlying mystery that's dissimilar to a lot of other similar reincarnation isekai plots. 

This takes the concept of a character being important and extends that in a way that makes sense in the involved universe and ours. He's a cutting edge pharmaceutical technician and he d*mn well makes that obvious.  <<less

The main issue is weird and slightly uncomfortable hylerfocus on the MC and her friends. The story also starts to drag after a while.

Good world building, fun concept, decently likeable MC, and a lack of the snobish pseudo-intellectualism that's so painfully common in a lot of other OP MC plotlines.

It's not really that well put together on a conceptual level and the plot jumps around too much from important event to important event. 

The main character is portrayed as decently intelligent, but some of his conclusions around the coincidences that happen around him are just absurd. It's not really spoiling much to say that he's constantly faced with magical events in a situation he only got in due to magical events yet he's still violently unwilling and unable to convince of anything around him as magical. Even when shown directly he comes up with some hairbrained rationalization as to why it can't possibly be exactly what it looks likes.

Still, I'm Really Not the Demon God's Lackey is worth the time that one needs to put in to read it. It is fun. It is unique. It is dramatic and tragic when it really tries. <<less

Essentially, the MC is put into the body of a villian in a video game and everything he says is translated though the filter of the snobish, rude, inhumane, and evil child character. It's funny with a hint of tragedy. 

The story would be better if it lingered a little more on each event and gave the characters some room to breathe, but if you just want a bittersweet dramady this is enough.  <<less
