I find that many reviews are often in one of two categories, People pretending that they know what they’re talking about but have clearly not analyzed the story they’re reading and reviews that basically are brown nosing the author even though they’re clear problems with the story. 

I have made this list based on stories which have surprised me, and completely contradicts the reviews.

I mainly started this list because of “Reincarnated As a Sword”, because due to the reviews I picked it up as a joke, but when I started analyzing the characters from the perspective of someone trying to write a reading response, I realized it was a surprisingly compelling story and the people reviewing were just focusing on its flaws or making false preconceptions based on other novels they have read in the past.

So in the end of the day I wish for you to give these novels a chance as novels. Don’t preconceive.  Read as if it was a regular book, not an “isekai”, not a “harem” novel. 

Treat them as what they are. Let those tags EARN themselves, don’t define a book by its tags.
