I was hesitant to read this because the summary was not very eye catching. But thankfully I eventually gave it a chance and it has been one of my favorite short stories ever since. His treatment of the fl was very oof in the beginning, but there is character growth. This is like the only story I found where the ml redeemed himself to the point where he is likeable.  I’ve been putting this off for a really long time. But it is a really good short read. The tragedy tag is there for a reason but it is a happy ending!! Like it is the right dose of tragic.
